Whether or not Kluwe was acting completely altruistic or not is hardly the story here. If the story is true, who cares when it was exposed?
No it doesn't prove whether or not Kluwe is being honest, but I think it calls into question what he's really all about. If you were so committed to a cause, and something happened to you at your workplace that totally flies in the face of that cause, why would you sit on it for an entire year after it happened? He admits to waiting for the right time. When exactly is the wrong time to expose bigotry? When it could affect your job status? Eh, I don't really need football, but I'll be damned if I let something serious like this jeopardize my having a job. It just reeks more of personal, ulterior motives and less about a cause. Just my two cents.

The same reason that the Miami Dolphins "bullying" incident was under investigation of the league. With the public being aware of this, the NFL can't just stand by, they need to address that this incident be dealt with properly, but also ensure that nothing of this manner happens again league wide.

He's one of the most intelligent NFL players ever, and also happens to be incredibly funny, relatable, and popular. He's not going to have an issue making money outside of football.

Just Kluwe saying this. That makes it so. No one at ALL backing him up. Gotta be true because Kluwe wouldn't have ulterior motives for saying some of these things. Or waiting to make absolutely sure he didn't have a chance in hades to get a punting job on another team, this was obviously MUCH more important to him then anything else in his life. If he had an ounce of a spine, and was so concerned about others rights, he would have came out long ago.

sure, allegedly. That doesn't alter the backwards reaction to Kluwe's alleged allegations.

@Dead_Poet Kluwe is a bigot because he think his view on gay rights is great but anyone who is against it is a bad person. It's clear that some people on the team probably don't care for gay activism. Homosexuality will always be a controversial topic which is why many companies and organisations don't even address it.

OK? It's not like someone else wrote the article... Chris Kluwe did.

Shut up Kluwe, the Vikings were right in releasing you and now we have a better punter than you. Deal with it.

God dang, I didn't think it was possible to dislike Seifert anymore than I already did. His passive aggressiveness is SO MINNESOTAN and it's obvious he disagrees with Chris and did this same $%$% last year too.

"I vehemently deny today's allegations made by Chris Kluwe."

I would assume that includes all of the alleged comments.

Kluwe clearly has a bone to pick with Priefer and goes as far as stating that the purpose of the article is to hurt the man's career. Combine that with Kluwe's apparent need for attention and the fact that no one else within or professionally familiar with the Vikings' organization has anything bad to say about Priefer makes me question the accuracy of Kluwe's accusations.

To me it seems like Kluwe's job was in the toilet due to a lack of performance and professionalism and he decided he'd try to take Priefer down with him. Until other players come forward and corroborate these allegations I'll hold off on jumping to the conclusion that Priefer's a bigot.

Has nobody read the part about how he asked Kluwe to kick it higher and not far because the STs stink? Perhaps that hurt his stats

A bigot is a person that treats or regards a group of people with hatred or intolerance. Kluwe is clearly treating Pfeifer, Spielman and Frazier with what seems to be a clear hatred. He doesn't want Pfeifer to ever coach again taking away his livelihood and ability to provide for his family because he does not agree with his beliefs of Homosexuality. That to me is bigotry.

If the statements he made are true they are clearly inappropriate and reprehensible and he should be punished for them, but he should not be punished for standing up for fighting for his own personal religious beliefs and Frazier and Spielman are definitely not cowards for not standing up for something that they do not believe in.

Even if that were the case, I'd imagine that's not a terribly uncommon request for punters in the NFL. It also doesn't change the fact that he was beaten in fair competition and cut from the Raiders.

If the freakin Raiders decide you're not good enough to be on their team I think that's a pretty clear sign that your career in the NFL is done.
