No doubt in my mind they will now trade Peterson to Houston, along with a pick or two. Wouldn't be surprised if he goes as far as restructures his contract to get off of this sinking ship.

Or maybe his boyhood team the Cowboys. Either way I am ready to part ways with AD unless a new coach comes in and figures out how to use him. I am sure, by most accounts, that AD is PO after Frazier was canned and imagine that he would not "fight" a trade especially with the fact that the Vikes will be playing more games outside in the cold. I would be especially happy if the Vikes could exact a very good trade. Right now they stack the line with 8 or 9 defenders and not only is/was it effective but it seemed to stymie the passing game adding more inside pressure that the Vikes o-line could not contain often enough. When the Vikes saw conventional defenses, when Gerhart or Asiata were lined up in the backfield, then it seemed to open up the playbook and balanced out the attack. It seemed simple enough that when the defense used extra players on the line then the passing game should have opened up, well it did not in most instances Ponder and Cassel saw heavy pressure continually. Cassel was able to get rid of the ball more quickly and Ponder (after taking a beating) would leave the pocket and run for his life. Cassel's pension for getting numerous balls knocked down is very disconcerting to say the least. Who ever the next coach is maybe they can figure things out.

above are draft picks we missed on, but look more specifically at overall nfl misses at the qb position. they missed on gabbert, locker, quinn, leinhart, sanchez, couch, leaf, carr, russell, vince young, and i'm sure the list goes on. we weren't the ONLY team ever to make a mistake by taking ponder.

Peterson is not getting traded. The team has already said they have no interest in trading him, and even if they did the financial burden he carries along with his age and position make him nearly impossible to get appropriate value in return.

And what exactly does that even have to do with the draft?

Well let's see. When/if you trade last year's MVP I would imagine that you would recieve many additional draft picks and that is how it relates to this topic.

We could play more press man cover on the outside if we could find /draft another top corner, Rhoads is ideally suited for man and our safeties are also versatile athletes.

I am sold on Johnny Football. I love his fire and competitiveness plus a deceptively strong arm. If they get the chance draft him

Best thing for the team would be to trade AD if we could get at least a couple 1sts for him.

Mock draft Bleacher report Vikings

BR 8# Carr QB Fresno state a reach IMO hope we go with UCLA LB

2nd round DT Ra'Shede Hageman Minnesota

Would love this in the second round freak quickness and light feet for his size
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1729 ... e-hageman/

3rd round OL Zach Martin Nortre Dame Makes sense we have taken many
Golden Domers, of late

3rd Round 2nd Pick DE Scott Crichton Oregon State

http://www.rantsports.com/nfl/2013/10/3 ... -crichton/

Think he will be gone ... this late in the draft

4th Round OG Xavier Su'a-Filo UCLA

5th round WR Robert Herron Wyoming

http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/ds ... &genpos=WR

6th round CB Ross Cockrell Duke

http://draftfalcons.com/2014-nfl-draft- ... l-cb-duke/

7th round RB LaDarius Perkins Mississippi State
I don't agree with this pick Matt Attisa will take the back up role IMO

There are some good players in this mock, but i think we will draft more secondary and not
two OL in the first four rounds.

Make that two votes for Johnny Football. It appears he will go in the top 10 picks, they may get a shot at him. Didn't hurt himself with his performance last night.

I watched the entire South Carolina Wisconsin game and came away unimpressed with Clowney. I hope that the Vikings stay faaaar away from this overated CLOWNey. He had four tackle in the game :o and seemed very disinterested.

I am not sold on him either. He has been the most highly praised player this year, but I don't see why. I would rather take Barr or Mack with our first pick (if Teddy isn't there).
