I live in SEC country, I've watched plenty of his games. He's only won 1 big game and that's Alabama last year

The dude has all day to throw the ball.

Is he out there by himself or might the team around have an impact on that?

Texas A&M has a terrible defense.

The defense doesn't throw interceptions in the red zone either. They had a 14-0 lead on Alabama this year and they still lost. They played one of the worst defenses in the SEC in Auburn and lost as well. And the offense isn't scoring against a poor LSU defense today. Manziel has highlight plays and gaudy stats but when it matters he hasn't come through this year.

A&M beat 4 top 25 teams last year. By any objective measure, those would be considered "big games".

I'm a Longhorn Alum. I am not fond of A&M, but I am still able to give an unbiased take on the kid. If he had a defense or a running game he wouldn't have to put the whole team on his back. At least we have one of those two! He'll at least be accustomed to playing w/o a D.

Also, how in the world do you figure that LSU is a poor defense?

Zach played well. LSU's CB's did. The baby didn't though

Yeah Zach played pretty good. I was most impressed with how well he handed the ball off for 324 yards rushing.

Yeah Johnny Ponder had an ugly game today haha. McCarron isn't putting up the huge numbers but he looks like a solid accurate POCKET passer, which is what wins championships at the NFL level.

Carr looked pretty spectacular (7 TDs), but then again, he was playing against Los Lobos of Univ. of New Mexico.

Manziel had a bad game. They sure lean on him hard, too hard IMO, but he did not make the throws he usually makes.

LSU did a good job of shutting down Evans, which in turn made Manziel look like Johnny Average. I really think Evans is the hidden star on that team (and possibly some guys on the line). The weather was probably a factor but Zach was still fitting balls into some really tight windows so it couldn't have been all that bad.
