Josh Robinson out 4-6 weeks
http://sports.yahoo.com/news/team-repor ... --nfl.html
CB Josh Robinson, the second-year pro who has struggled in trying to replace the departed Antoine Winfield, probably will miss the rest of the season because of a fracture in his sternum. He suffered the injury on Sunday. It's a four- to six-week injury. Robinson has gotten better of late, but still has a long way to go. Rookie first-round draft pick Xavier Rhodes will replace him at left corner. Punt returner Marcus Sherels now becomes the nickel back.

I would say, "who cares," or "good riddance," if I was a cold, heartless individual. I'm not so I'll just wish Mr. Robinson a speedy recovery and best of luck with your new team next year.me4get wrote:http://sports.yahoo.com/news/team-repor ... --nfl.html

Re: Josh Robinson out 4-6 weeks
He may be out the next 4-6 weeks, but he's already been out of position for 10!
Seriously though, Josh has started to look like he's improving lately. The whole team is so banged up now I think they'll end up Tanking for Teddy now matter how hard they try to get a few more wins. Maybe we'll get to see a few nice plays by Xavier before the season ends.

This signature predicted the great 2014 - 2025 Vikings dynasty!

Good luck with that, Cook is a bust. Can't stay on the field.Purplemania wrote: Agree. As much as Robinson has sucked, he still has a future here. I think if we get a new HC and DC, he may end up being a very valuable nickel CB. This is evident by how well Robinson has played the past few weeks. Hell, he even did a great job on Dez Bryant.
But anyways, I am excited to finally see a Cook-Rhodes combo.

Meh. Easy come, easy go. Robinson won't be missed.
Re: Josh Robinson out 4-6 weeks
I've been a big Chris Cook supporter but he's a total bust. We need to spend some serious coin or draft picks on CB next year.

I too had big dreams for Cook, seems like he had the skills. But i guess thats what injury prone players do get injured.

No great loss. He was barely average. The problem is we're so anorexic in that position that we hoped he was better than he is. Cook is a bust too, not all that AND hurt a lot.
I'm glad Rhoades gets the start, I want to see what the kid can do. Not much pressure, we suck this year, so let him get the 'rookies' out of him and learn to play at speed.

When was the last time the Vikings secondary has not be absolute swiss cheese crap? Some time in the 1990s?tnvikesfan wrote:No great loss. He was barely average. Hmm. I've decided that comparing the Vikings defense to swiss cheese is probably not the best comparison in the world. Swiss cheese is actually good. And even if you don't think so, there are others who do. The same can't be said about our defense; no one thinks they're good.

Re: Josh Robinson out 4-6 weeks
Many Swiss cheeses have very few holes, which you could never say about this defense.

Swiss cheese goes great with whine.
Our D was generally pretty solid up until the year before we lost Big Pat. His final year was the beginning of the end IMO.

The overall quality of our cornerbacks is not unlike the overall quality of our quarterbacks. And the ability of our General Manager to find quality cornerbacks seems comparable to his ability to find quality quarterbacks.me4get wrote:http://sports.yahoo.com/news/team-repor ... --nfl.html

As a vegan, I'm satisfied with the swiss cheese comparison.MelanieMFunk wrote:Hmm. I've decided that comparing the Vikings defense to swiss cheese is probably not the best comparison in the world. I wanna know who keeps calling this guy a CB?

Don't hate on my Buckeyes. Some of the best Vikings went to Ohio State.
Including now, HOF WR #80 Cris Carter
