Sorry my friend but there is no hindsight. I felt that way as soon as I saw Harvin in the end zone. Given his history for big plays, chances for a big run back were huge and the fact that we had just scored to make it a close game we should not have taken the chance. Yes, the ST players should have covered better but IF we had not kicked to him there wouldn't even be a post. LOL
Ah, yes. The crowd was going nuts. Why even kick it to him? Not kicking it to him would have settled everyone down. Yep, would have been nice--and smart, but that's not Vikings football this year.

I don't think it's ever smart to just concede good field position to the opposing team late in the first half and set them up for a quick scoring drive. Sure, there was risk in kicking to Harvin but he's not unstoppable. Either Walsh needed to boot that one out of the endzone or the coverage unit needed to cover that kick effectively, just like the defense failed to come out after Harvin's return and stop the Seahawks from driving right to the endzone for another score.

Fraizer's whole career as a HC is one big coaching blunder. And some of you wanted him to be named CoTY last year due to blind luck and AD having an outstanding year.

Had they squibbed a kick deep down the center of the field, it's inconceivable to me that Seattle would have had better field position than the 30 yard line.

Yes, it was another coaching blunder.

Inconceivable, eh?

Why not kick it into the forth row like most every other kicker does? It happened in the Chicago game too kick it to Hester 5 times before we decide to do something different. We only get maybe 2 to 3 chances to let Patterson run it back if were lucky, most teams kick it in the fing upper deck to stay away from him. Again its a coaching thing ours sucks, special teams, lets wait until we are 1-7 until we put patterson and sherels together in the back field to do a misdirection play.
Its all about being reactive instead of proactive.
