Re: Vikings @ Seahawks Game Day Discussion Thread -- Week 11
As far as this game, I was impressed with the team for playing tough for so long. I was a little shocked, I'll be honest. With the supposed Super Bowl favorites from the NFC, playing at home where they are supposedly unbeatable, and us having so much crazy going on and ridiculous injuries..it was a pleasant surprise to hang tough for a bit. Then, of course, reality hit in the second half. lol. JUST when I start getting a little hope, the Vikings remind me
not so fast. Blah.
If Harvin didn't play for the Seahawks, I'd probably root for them. For the most part, I like what they have going on over there. Harvin, though, I can't stand him. I can't wish him or his team success. I just can't. It's just getting so hard to find someone in the NFC to root for anymore when the Vikes are out of it. I'm going for the Panthers! If not them, the Niners.
And now they think Bevell is ready to be a head coach soon? Wow. Crazy talk.

You know, after seeing how this season went, I'm not mad at Harvin anymore. I don't blame him for leaving. He was smart enough to leave before he got caught in this circus the team has put itself in. I applaud him. The man clearly wants to win a championship and I don't think the Vikings plan on winning one anytime soon. lol
Im rooting for the Broncos this year though. I think this might be his last good year. He's definitely playing on his last wheels. I think they can pull it out and go all the way. NFC wise, Im going for my boy Cam Newton and his Panthers as well. Even though Im a Bama fan, I like Auburn too and I love the things he did in Auburn. I became a big fan and he is definitely playing his best football this year.

Looks like we agree here. I love Manning. I really hope he and his Broncos win it all. But if they don't, I hope a team like the Panthers win it. That game last night was pretty awesome, one of the best I've seen all season. You're right, Cam looked good. I can't wait to see them get another good WR or two.King James wrote:

I just don't think Broncos D will hold up against a high powered passing attack team. It'll be really interesting to see them vs New England on SNF.
Pull yr 84 jerseys out.

If Manning doesn't get hurt, no one is going to beat the Broncos. I liked Manning, but he is kind of becoming Favre like for me . And that isn't good. He is a green smudge on Vikings history.

Heh?
He reminds you of Favre? Do explain. Is it the greatness or...? Is it that both of them put up career numbers in years after they "should have been retired"? Is it their competitiveness and will to win? None of this I consider negative, so please explain. Let me guess, "they're chokers." Coming from Vikings fans? Don't make me laugh.

I mean he is the media's new favorite player. Like Favre was. He is in half the commercials I see too. I don't watch much, other then sports, but I sick of seeing his face so much. But im not doubting his talent.MelanieMFunk wrote:

I can't applaud Harvin for anything he's done off the field. When the vikings were miraculously streaking towards the playoffs last year, he was nowhere to be found. I understand he was rehabbing, but he wasn't even at the biggest game of the year (final home game against GB). He clearly had a problem with management, right down to Frazier of all people. I'm not so sure ol' Percy wasn't a giant pain in the *** to most around him. Is he a great talent? Absolutely. Is he somewhat fragile and a personality issue? I would think it's fair to say so. I'm sure every player wants to win, but you don't have to act up in the process.King James wrote:
