Week 12. Battle of the backups. Scott Tolzien vs. ?

Post by Raptorman »

So who starts against the Packers? Anyone want to guess before it is announced?

Packers are 3 point favorites.

Well it comes down to who should start and who the Vikings will start lol. I believe they start Ponder again because I have a feeling this franchise has officially gone insane. They're going to do the same thing over and over again and keep expecting different results.

Freeman has been here 6 weeks now, so he should know the offense, and should be starting. At this point he's the only one that we need to audition for the starter role next year. And if Freeman still isn't ready to go, then Cassel gives us the best chance to win. Ponder should have been left in Seattle.

I believe they realize Freeman absolutely sucks and dont want to hurt any backup QB trades,(maybe not since we only signed him for a year)I really dont know why we are paying him more than both the other jokes. Ponder we have to absolutely see what a first round pick has in his tank. Thats a huge pick to give up on, most people realize that he does not have it, but lets make sure.
It has been said many times and many ways, without a real QB we continue to play this stupid game. Look at GB without FIGJAM looks like a below average team, without Brady NE would be as bad as us (besides a suck a@@ coach). Draft a top 3 QB and lets re-rack to see what happens. Or let poor AD go and have an Fing chance at winning. It is a joy to watch that guy even when he runs into the wall 20 times a game. I have been watching this for too many years, its amazing now i am now 35 and don't know how you old timers make it.
I dont want any fair weather fan BS I spend close to $500 a year to watch and its still fun getting food ready, scheduling all events around the vikes game, and watching my little brain washed kids running around acting like Peterson. What we are doing is not working so lets change, only 2 1st round QB's in our history that seems to be the problem.

Oh good, thanks for clearing that up. My staff is still busy trying to crack the "goat cluck" code from that other topic lol.

I mean...What a mess, huh?

I say Freeman...If he bombs then just forget any projects the rest of the year and ride it out with Cassel.

It has to be Freeman. Starting anyone else at this point would be completely idiotic.

I voted for the Boy Plunder. I was hoping that MBT was on the roster again so I could vote for him. He has the best arm out of the "Keystone Quarterbacks".

Or just ask anyone who's watched him play. I despise the Pack as much as any Viking fan, but Rodgers is probably the best in the league.

Doesn't it always seem like this team craps all over its most capable quarterback and dismisses him because he is a "back up?"

T.Joke wrecked the team for years until Gus Frerrotte followed up a 9-6 stint with the Miami Dolphins to an 8-3 record
with the Vikings to up his overall wins as a starter with the team to 10-3.
He suffered a phantom "back injury" and Shartvarious Jokesone pretty much coughed that Eagles game up.
I don't know why the team was in such a hurry to throw away a proven winner.

I'm gonna be "that guy" again and ask why we never gave Sage Rosenfels a shot.

Now we are completely dicking over Matt Cassel.

If we don't have the quote unquote "future" quarterback, lets just start the best one we have.

Hmm, the topic title is about backups, but the poll is regarding the starter...so, even though Cassel is the best option for winning play Freeman the rest of the year and "find out!!!"

"I'm sure the follow up questions are going to be why?" Frazier said. "[Ponder] has had success against Green Bay before, at Lambeau [Field]."
