"We will talk (the QB situation) through tomorrow."

"Groin is still bothering Peterson... he's not 100%"
I cant stand listening to him so I didn't hear this. Did he blame the execution again, trying to save his own worthless hide?

Only the most naive homers thought we would actually we win that game. The game was over once Harvin returned that kickoff before halftime and Baldwin beat Rhodes and Sendejo for the TD.

After 2 good games Ponder became Ponder again. Freeman should start from here on out, only reason to start Ponder is if they're fully committed to tanking.
Name one person that said they were surprised. Ofc people are mad, our team lost. I'm not one of the fans watching them to hope they lose. I actually enjoy Viking wins. Call me crazy.

How important is a good QB? Ours provided the Seahawks with 17 points. Without those, the game would have been within reach.

I actually thought the defense played way, way better than I expected. We forced a boatload of punts. With the Seahawks at home, and a mobile QB and a stud RB, I was expecting a game where we forced may two punts.

As a matter of fact, the Vikes forced 5 punts, and the Seahawks forced 3. Weird stat, but I guess fully explained by the three turnovers.

I just gotta be smarter with my note taking. I just want to prepare for the next test, try to forget this one, and redeem myself on the next one."
Agree 100% great post.

I agree. This was circled as a loss even back when I thought we'd make the playoffs. Road game, tough crowd, great opponent defense, mobile opposing QB. It all spelled loss. And to be honest, it's a shame that 4th quarter happened the way it did because the Vikings were very competitive even through the 3rd. You're right in saying that TD before halftime took all the wind out of our sails. Actually, getting only a FG right before then was a momentum changer too. Then of course we have to watch Percy almost take it back (still like who we got for him but that's another story).

I thought the defense did a decent good job to be honest. Handed a short field on the first possession, held to a FG. Forced a punt, then allowed a TD, then allowed that big TD but that drive started after the big return. How many punts did they force in the 3rd quarter? 3? The offense had several chances to get it within one score and that's when Ponder started to stink it up. The final score was really not indicative of how close the game was for about 47 minutes.

I should also state the offense did well in the first half, although they were helped out greatly by Seattle penalties.

I just looked at the stats... We actually out gained Seattle and held the ball longer. We forced more punts than they did. We had fewer penalties.
And we still not only lost, but we lost by 21 (28 if you dont count the pity score at the end).
Yeah, this team is wretched.
The Devil whispered in the Viking's ear, "There's a storm coming." The Viking replied, "I am the storm." ‪#‎SKOL2018

20 of those 21 points were off turnovers.

How ya'll still hang on every word of Frazier is beyond me.

It's not gospel folks. And wow...Ponder epitomized his entire Vikings career. Flashes of playing very well mixed with absolute putrid QB play. I've already seen enough and I'm sure the staff has too. I expect a Freeman start next Sunday at this point.

Your joke is about as terrible as Ponder's offensive awareness and arm strength.

What's the matter King? You don't believe anymore??

I wasn't surprised at all of course. Seattle may be the best team in football and the Vikings...aren't.

But did you hear Ponder's post-game presser?! He actually said it!! He said, "Easily correctable." Unbelievable!!!

I don't like confrontational media but you almost wish SOMEBODY would say, "Christian, we've heard the term 'easily correctable' from you several tiimes this year; and yet we're not really seeing any of that correcting."

You can't win consistently in this league if you do not have a solid NFL quarterback. Christian Ponder was drafted way too high and will never be starter material. The two other qbs are guys other teams didn't want. Adrian Peterson's best years are being squandered the way Barry Sanders were. Until they have a real quarterback, they have no shot.

jackal wrote:I love how Ponder costs the game and Cassel moves the offense and they are able to score..

The running game works better with Cassel and he finds open receivers.. IE Jarius Wright
touchdown..

Ponder needs to go with whole coaching staff
lol, yeah, Cassel is so awesome because we were able to run the ball against their backups when down by 4 scores in the fourth quarter. He was finding open receivers all over the place too, 5 in all... on 13 attempts... against the backups... in prevent defense. Is this how low our standards have become?
