Meh - Freeman/Cassel/Ponder - We have three backups. Freeman has the best pocket presence and arm strength. His accuracy is arguably the worst so far.
Cassel - The most accurate with decent arm strength. Is decisive. He is decisively bad as often as he is decisively good.
Ponder - Good passer in the 0-5 yard range. No pocket presence. Weakest arm of the three. Pick your fav QB. The stat line is going to be about the same...
I've told people a million times not to exaggerate!
Special Teams: A- (too bad about that Walsh leg injury!)
Defense: C-, minus for the long drive
Offense: F, but only because I can't give them a G or an H

Why wouldn't Cassel be our activation when Ponder still has rib problems?
I think because Cassel isn't someone you can develop. Ponder on the other hand is still a young QB and you can still teach and mold him (at least thats the theory I think). Also, IMO PondervsCassel isn't much of a trade off, YMMV.
I too feel as if freeman isn't doing terrible. I like his pocket awareness and movement. Not trying to run and panic. He's just got a combo of nerves/rust/timing.
