I hate the cover two scheme as well. Same old play not to lose philosophyPurplemania wrote: Won't matter for nothing in this pathetic weak cover 2 scheme. We could have Sherman and Revis and we still be giving up 300+ passing yards. I kid you not. Wish we wouldn't hired Rob Ryans...

Cover Two is dead as a doornail. The Bears and the Vikings are the ONLY TEAMS IN THE LEAGUE running a Cover 2 defense.
Christ, we might as well be running the Pistol offense and flea flickers and fumblerooskis and Statue of Liberty plays.

Re: Panthers @ VIkings Game Day Discussion Thread -- Week 6
For those #### about the coaching: Sanford was in position to make a pick and blew it. They sacked Newton on third down and a penalty by Cook extended the drive. They were out-muscled at the line on a 4th down conversion to extend the drive...
That's three instances on one drive where the players were put in position to succeed and end the drive and they failed. ALL of that was before the Panthers converted on 4th down to score.
At some point, the players have to be held accountable for their performance.

I'm probably being too hard on him, but the fact remains he was the target and couldn't work his way through traffic to be in coverage.Mothman wrote: It was a pick play. there wasn't much he could do. he read it but he couldn't get through traffic to prevent the completion. Nice play design by the Panthers...
I've told people a million times not to exaggerate!

Thank God for the ALCS. The only thing that would make this game worse right now is if we had to listen to Joe Buck.

Re: Panthers @ VIkings Game Day Discussion Thread -- Week 6
Well I rather wait to fire the whole staff till seasons end, so we don't get stuck with a frazier type again

I would'nt be surprised if the offense comes out in the wishbone next timeHunter Morrow wrote:Cover Two is dead as a doornail. The Bears and the Vikings are the ONLY TEAMS IN THE LEAGUE running a Cover 2 defense.
