other sports same situation - Michael Jordan had this same situation as well.
if his son really died, I don't think he's gonna play. There's a difference between losing your dad and son.

Yeah. The alerts just went off on my phone. Sadly, his son has passed. How anyone can harm a child is just beyond me. What a scumbag coward this guy is. If only they'd lock him in a room with Adrian for about 5 minutes...

it has been confirmed by the local Sioux Falls news stations. AP already said he was playing. He knew the kid was to be taking off life support today as he had been brain dead since thursday. so it was only a matter of time once the machines got turned off.

not to be a dick or anything but this is probably AP right now --> :steamed:

Man.
At 7, Adrian Peterson witnessed his brother (9) killed by a drunk driver. At 28, he has said goodbye to a son. #Vikings

News just broke that his son has just passed away. Life in prison for the scumbag.

5 minutes is not enough time to make him suffer. Give me 5 days or 5 weeks. I cannot understand how someone can beat a child.

Adrian won't even need to get close to him. Just wait till this idiot gets to prison and the other inmates find out what he did. Would not want to be him when that happens (or at any point for that matter).

Inmates do have a certain code when it comes to kids. I think it will be a long life for him, and not very pleasant.

Awful news. People who do terrible things to little defenseless children are the worst scum on the planet. Death penalty is too good for this POS. It's little comfort, but just know that people who hurt children are absolutely the lowest form of life among prison inmates. His remaining days will probably be a nightmare

Carolina defensive players should be scared right now.

He had another half brother shot and killed the week of his rookie combine. Too much loss.

I spent several years as a homicide detective in a major crime's unit. I can tell you first hand that a child abuse resulting in a death case was/is the hardest thing to get over for the family, the friends and the investigators that handle these types of crimes. Football would be the last thing on my mind right now if I lost my son, who happens to be in his second deployment in the Middle East after 7 months of fighting in Afhghanistan.
As I posted earlier my thoughts and prayers go out to AD, the family and friends.
