That's not quite what I had in mind, but a reply is a reply...

Leslie Frazier on bringing back Winfield: "We've talked about a lot of things."
Reading between the lines: they've reached out but the interest may not be mutual.

I think the Vikings pissed him off and he does not want to come back here ..

Oh well I think our GM has still done a good job; compared to the past

Triangle of Authority system, we had in place.

Maybe it is a pipe dream, but I think this team is going to make a move in some way to get another cornerback this season yet.

I mean, as far as trading goes, I wouldn't mind trading Houston for Brandon Harris to see if he could be anything here. Brandon Boykin from Philly is another guy I would like to have. Both those players wouldn't require too much to acquire - maybe a little more for Boykin than Harris.

In free agency, there really isn't anyone to sneeze at. Sheldon Brown, Stanford Routt, and Eric Wright are the only 'good' players. I mean, I wouldn't be disappointed with them, but it is not going to happen.

Ultimately, I just want something. It is clear that Cook isn't going to stay healthy, and A.J. Jefferson/Robinson/Sherels is not a rotation I want to see finish out the year.

Maybe Allen, Walsh, and Kalil can pay him a visit? :-D

Demi wrote:Great. .500 year at best. Sign 30 year old receiver, 30 year old linebacker, bring back 34 year old corner. Let's get this rebuild in gear! :wallbang:
Normally speaking I would agree with your sentiment here, Demi. I want the youth movement rebuilding plan, too.

But the Vikings secondary sucks. Really sucks. I mean, Cook can't stay healthy, Rhodes can't get on the field for some reason, and it's to the point that Sherels might be the best CB playing right now.

Despite Winfield's age, I hope the Vikings sign him for a year. Their secondary needs help.
