I'm encouraged by the job Cassel did in the first half. Offense seems to have more energy. He really zips the ball in there. There is no comparison in arm strength. The misses might be some rust. Got lucky with that fumble, he was careless in protecting it. The protection has been so much better today than last week. I'm not going to get too excited over one half against a below average defense. We'll see how Cassel finishes

I've been saying all along that the Vikings aren't that bad. Terrible QB play has been dragging down all aspects of the game. Put Peyton Manning on this team and we would be a Superbowl contender.

Truthfully, he looks average. He is more decisive and he makes a decision and goes with it. His pocket awareness is much better, but he scrambles like a pregnant Yak. All of which is to say he is noticeably better than Ponder in the passing department. Is there such a thing as a 'pinch-scrambler' in football?
I've told people a million times not to exaggerate!
