It'd be sweet if we could maybe get Patterson the ball.

I agree with Sims, Cassel should have thrown that ball outside the hashes and let Simpson continue to run away from the CB as opposed to up the middle of the field.Jeffbleedspurple wrote:That was a pretty good toss, that was on Simpson.
But it was a pretty good throw for where he put it, just a tad out of reach.

Ike Taylors still good. We should be going to Jennings more

It seems we're going to have to throw teams out of a stacked box before Peterson is going to have much running room, granted we do have Felton back this week so maybe he'll get some better holes today regardless.yezzir wrote:It'd be sweet if we could maybe get Patterson the ball.

The problem is they keep running on second and long resulting in third and long. Steelers are dropping 8 on third down twice now.

Yup....Cassel is our savior

Were you expecting him to come in and look like Peyton Manning? At least he's throwing it around a little, sheesh. Give him a chance anyway.
Re: Steelers@Vikings Game Day Discussion Thread--London Edit
Nope not more accurate but it shows what this offense could be with a good QB. Ponder would have thrown that pass to Jennings a second too late and it makes a difference.Jeffbleedspurple wrote:Cassels release is faster than Ponders, but I wouldn't say more accurate than Ponder

Lets just wait and see what happens before we complain...we're on track for a 40-28 win.

This is Cassel's first game people. Cut him some slack.
