Man, how has it been FOUR years already since Favre donned the purple and we went on that spectacular run? It is kinda depressing in more than one way: we haven't been great quarterback play since and time flies by.

Today will not be an easy win like everyone thinks. Cleveland's defense is actually really good. Offensively though? Hard to say. The only person on the team I see beating us is Jordan Cameron. I fear Greenway and Henderson will be torched in coverage by Cameron.

Anyway, I have a feeling we will win today. We need to win today. I just hope the team doesn't 'play down' to Cleveland. I doubt they will - this is the NFL after all.

Skol Vikings.

A little over a half hour to go until kickoff. I'm pretty optimistic the Vikings will get their first win of the season today. Skol Vikings!

To me, there's no upside to this game. A decisive victory is what is expected. Anything less will be disappointing.

Let me "predict" (for the purposes of discussion) what this board will be like if the Vikes win this game on a last second FG. The sky will be falling. I'll probably be there with all the rest of you.

Technically, the season will be over if the Vikes lose this one. Cleveland is probably the worst team in the league at game time - losing both starting RB and QB this week.

John is right. We gotta win in every facet. We can't gut out a 17-16 win on a Blair Walsh 55 yarder. We gotta win 24-13 or something.
Anything less than double digit win and the board will freak and Heaven forfend an upset.
Losing to the Browns, at home, after they just traded Richardson? Suicide Hotlines in the Twin Cities will be getting a workout.

I think Jacksonville is actually worse, but that really doesn't dilute your point.

IMO anything less than a 10+ point win will not bode well for the rest of the year. Cleveland is in complete quit mode and we need to embarrass them completely for doing so.

I'll settle for a 1 point win at this point... I'm not greedy.
