Well I think Ponder or really ANY QB does better when they get more involved in the game. In the second half he had a couple of runs like that that really got him pumped up I think. A lot of the time we do our stupid run, run, pass on third and long three and out and Ponder just can't get warmed up from that. Him or again, any QB will be better working on instincts and getting emotionally charged like that compared to the "okay just be calm and careful, don't turn the ball over" mentality.

i wonder how much our offensive tempo messes with his head, as well as our shakey play calling. Ponder has shown the ability to make solid throws, though inconsistently. Since 09 we have had an offense that is extremely predictable and one note. Like you said, run, run, pass, punt.

It seems like he gets a bit better when we dont play with our usual tempo.

After the first two games im starting to think our coaches are equal to blame with ponder for our poor play.

That was a nice truck. I bet Briggs felt humbled after that play.

Briggs completely whiffed on that hit. I recall him saying something to Ponder when he got back up, judging by their two reactions I think he gave him props.

There is much work to do. Ponder left some opportunities on the field, IE Jennings in the end zone. Right now it feels like they have the pieces to field a pretty decent, balanced offense if they can just sort out some of the playcalling and consistency issues.

What is concerning is the defense. LB are not getting it done and the CB are inconsistent at best. This needs to get better.

I think that the LB problem can readily be fixed by who the Vikes already have on the roster. I would love to see Mauti, Hodges and Bishop out there. I gotta say that Greenway is average at best this year. This is the second year of the rebuild so let's get Mauti and Hodges in the mix

Briggs was clearly headed out of bounds, Ponder should have been flagged for roughing or a late hit xD.

All I can say is it's about time Ponder laid the smack down and went WWE out there...
