Christian Ponder should have the Two Girls One Cup music playing when he's doing something.
My lord.

Haha. Good point.

The story of the first half was the miscues, obviously, both ways. But the Lions offense seems to be moving the chains at will against the Vikes D.

Wouldn't mind seeing Cassel start the 2nd half. Won't happen.
That would start with a benching to get his attention. If he can't take care of the ball, he needs to sit the hell down.

Still feeling good about my prediction that Matt Cassel will be starting by week 8.

If Ponder hasn't learned how to play by now, he never will. That pick before half was utterly unforgivable. Possibly a 10-point swing, since we were near FG range.

Suddenly we're up just 1 at half against a team that has largely outplayed us. Yikes.

I'm getting flashbacks to fans chanting to start Gus Frerrotte and Jeff George.

Just put Sage out there and have him read from the Talmud. At least he won't throw 4 picks a game.

AD has nowhere to run and isn't going to have anywhere to run as long as the Vikings keep trying to protect Ponder. It's time to let the guy either be a starting pro or go.

I was wondering the same. Has Ponder EVER been yelled at on the sidelines by the coachiing staff?

If that last INT didn't deserve a lashing I don't know what it will take.
A successful coach needs a patient wife, loyal dog, and great quarterback - and not necessarily in that order.

Bill Musgrave deserves a lot of blame too. Running on 1st and 2nd downs, forcing Ponder to pass on 3rd and long is just asking for trouble. I don't see why aren't we throwing more play action, the Lions D presses the box every play but we choose to keep running. I mean Peterson is a beast but he's not going to rip through 8 man boxes every play.

Cant really blame the WCO/KAO. Ponder cant handle the simplest of offenses, no way he can handle more complex ones. He throws to his first read, period. that's all we get with him.

The defense is going to have to make some adjustments they are getting owned except the stupid Kitty mistakes , I have given up on any chance of Ponder or Musgrave getting better its not the talent im afraid why did w eget Jennings ? why do we have a great Tight End ? a rookies speedster that cant get on the field ? All I can say is its gunna be a long year and 8-8 will be hard to attain from what I am seeing here .

Ding ding.

The offensive goal coming into this year was to be more balanced offensively. And as of now, the balance has regressed.

How about a bubble screen on 3rd and 14?! Just punt if you're gonna do that, don't risk a turnover.

He can't prove anything by sitting. He has to have his chance. Once they decide to bench him, it should be for good.

We have to score on this next drive. Because I think the Lions will be a little pass happy in the 3rd quarter.

Kinda disagree. He's been babied his 3 years here. A benching can help. If it doesn't, then there are major problems.
