I'm looking forward to seeing our receivers run. Not that excited about the uniforms....I think the #s are too much with the flares on them......but I'll be used to them by the second game.
Just saw that TJack had two completions of over 40yds and two TDs last night. Good for him~
I realize Manning only played one series, but Ponder is no manning. I hope it's at least a bit more than that. With the new receivers we have, I'm hoping they do more than a single series of real game time together.

I think they usually wait il the 2nd n 3rd games for that. But like you said....due to the newness of the WRs and guys coming back from injury, it wouldn't surprise me to see half a qtr or something like that.

Too bad you don't live on the west side of the state. The Quad-City Station (WHBF-4) is carrying it live. I can always tell when I have "football withdrawal." I get excited about pre-season games...
I've told people a million times not to exaggerate!

Yep, I would prefer to see them the whole first quarter, but it just won't happen.
Am I the only one who thinks Peterson doesn't really need to play at all in the preseason? We already know what he can do. We need to use this opportunity to work on Ponder's passing ability and get the other RB's in sync with the offense.

I would tend to agree except he does need some time maybe in the last two exibition games. It would be devastating to lose him at any point let alone a prerseason game.
There has been a huge problem brought to my attention by a former college veteren player. Word is out that although Toby has only had 200 total NFL rushing attempts he is pretty well done for. Maybe they could wheelchair him out onto the field and plug him in for a play or two before his legs fall off.
Do not mistake KINDNESS for WEAKNESS!
Best to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool rather than open it and remove all doubt.
