Re: Training Camp
Looks like Audie Cole is ahead of Tryone McKenzie on the depth chart.
Aj Mansour @AjKFAN 3h
Audie Cole still in the middle with the ones on defense. Henderson taking it easy on side. #VikingsCamp
Vikings Corner @VikingsCorner 3h
Audie Cole in for first team reps for Henderson right now. Hmmm #Vikings
Aj Mansour @AjKFAN 3h
Audie Cole in to spell Henderson with first team defense. #VikingsCamp

Well yeah, that makes sense. I don't know how well Cole and McKenzie have performed thus far but I wouldn't imagine that it would be hard for Mauti to jump ahead of them in the depth chart at some point.Eli wrote: I would imagine McKenzie and Cole are ahead of Mauti on the depth chart at MLB right now.
I don't forsee McKenzie ever become a starter and I think Audie Cole has a potential but it's gonna take more than 2 preseason INTs against a 3rd string QB to convince me he's worthy of starting.

Re: Training Camp
Haha but you are absolutely sure Mauti is the Steal of the Draft and a sure-fire 10 year starter at MLB for us, and he doesn't even have a preseason snap, let alone a good leg to stand on.JEC334 wrote: Well yeah, that makes sense. Excuse me sir, did I say that Mauti was the steal of the draft? Did I say that he was a 10 year starter? No, I said was it shouldn't be hard for him to work his way up the depth chart. So what in the hell are you talking about?TheCoolerOne wrote: Haha but you are absolutely sure Mauti is the Steal of the Draft and a sure-fire 10 year starter at MLB for us, and he doesn't even have a preseason snap, let alone a good leg to stand on.

Good morning, fellow Vikings fans! So, what is the team doing completely wrong today?

I think that most of us are fairly optimistic about the team and the direction it is going in. This is the second season of the proclaimed rebuild and most of us were quite amazed by the resurgence of a 3-6 team to reach the play-offs and increase their win total by over 3 times.
Having come away with a solid draft and adding Jennings while signing some key players seems to all bode quite favorably to the team and its goals.
It is quite early, as you know (barely in pads) but I am more excited about this team and it's potential than I have been for decades.
Back to the topic, after rambling on, do not worry there will be plenty of negative comments on what the team is doing wrong today and every day for that fact

Y'all do realize that this message board is 95% positive, right? I honestly see more crying about the "cynics" and "negative comments" than I actually see negative comments. It's comical. Really.
Don't get me wrong, I'm on your side...but some people need to get a grip. (Not you Jim) Some people post more about "cynics" and "negativity" than they actually do about Vikings football. (Not you again, Jim lol) What is up with that, anyway? Heck, at least the cynics bother talking about football once in a while instead of other posters constantly. Juuuuust sayin'!

As far as training camp, thank you dead_poet for posting all of the updates. I've been thinking about attending training camp the last couple of years, and I think you may have just motivated me a little bit more to do so. All of the little tidbits are interesting. And since I don't think I'll be heading to more than one game in the next two years (not sure how I feel about TCF yet), I think I might hit up training camp for the heck of it. Time will tell!

As long as Henderson is our starting MLB, I will always find something to complain about.

I'm actually excited to see what Henderson can do. I've been reading a lot of good things lately. I really hope he steps up and proves you wrong. I think he's ready to prove the world wrong, and I think that's a huge benefit to play with that kind of attitude and chip on his shoulder.

I can't say I'm more excited about the team than I've been in decades (I was ridiculously excited as the '98 season took shape) but I'm feeling a level of optimism about the team I haven't felt in a long time. I'm eager to see then in action again. I wish their first preseason game was this weekend.Purple bruise wrote:Good morning JimWell if you really want to know view the snippits of training camp film, read the comments by the players, coaches and media, some could be a little biased either way but get this THEY ARE THERE AND GET TO SEE THINGS FIRST HAND good and bad.

Re: Training Camp
I think MLB is his more natural position, the issue I have is that i just don't see him having the kind of explosiveness that the position group as a whole seems to lack. Bishop should add this from the blitzing side of things assuming he is healthy.MelanieMFunk wrote: You would.![]()

Agreed. Maybe I'm crazy but I think he might actually prove to be a pretty good MLB. It sounds like he's had a good camp so far.MelanieMFunk wrote: You would.![]()
