Well yeah, any little bit of info to 'prove' that they are right.

The Vikes are doomed (and the sky is falling). The old washed up Jennings has sprained his ankle  My oh my why did they ever sign him in the first place

If any of those guys get injured the next guy coming in is a huge drop off so I'd rather not even risk it. With that said I don't know who would be a better option from the offensive side.
Interesting take. I hadn't thought of it like that. The Vikings are thin on talent in the D secondary.

OTOH, you have to think about what a good returner can do. He can really help the offense start a drive with decent field position. A great returner can do even better, maybe even take it to the house. I guess that's why I think it might be worth the risk to use Robinson as a punt returner, IF he earns the spot.

Josh Robinson - DB - Vikings

Vikings CB Josh Robinson admitted he's not very comfortable playing in the slot.

Robinson has been tabbed as Antoine Winfield's replacement. The second-year man never played slot corner while at Central Florida and never profiled as a strong tackler. "This is all new to me," Robinson said. Opposing offensive coordinators are going to put him to the test early and often this season.

Well, that doesn't sound promising.

Yeah, I know, it's early.

Very early. :)

He'll face a learning curve but with Winfield gone, that's probably inevitable for anyone they want to move into the slot. Hopefully, over the next few months, he'll become much more comfortable playing the position.

I wouldn't say the Vikings are doomed. He should be fine by training camp. I think the issue is will he stay healthy when the season starts? He's only 29. He's not that "old."

Leslie Frazier said Greg Jennings should practice next week. Jared Allen also expected to participate giving #Vikings 100% attendance.

I wonder how many NFL teams get 100% voluntary participation. It's a good sign (and a nod to the team buying what Frazier is selling. Put another way, I don't know if there was ever 100% participation -- or even close -- during Childress' tenure).

I take it as a good sign for the same reasons. The players must be feeling some excitement from last season's surprise 10 win finish.

I like what Im seeing and hearing from Joe Webb. I thought he was going to be garbage but he is working hard, you can see he really wants to stay on the team. I was hard a Joe Webb ever since they signed him but I really want to see the kid succeed. He has a strong work ethic and I think he will make the team. Get rid of Stephon Burton and we will be good to go. Burton has done nothing since he's been here. I thought he was going to be one of those secret gems, but its time for him to go.

I don't think so but I know Leslie Frazier was really hoping for this level of participation this year. He said in an interview that he felt the high level of participation in voluntary OTAs played a significant role in their success last season. Maybe this bodes well. At the very least, it speaks to the level of commitment his players feel toward him and the team. It seems like Frazier has really managed to get his roster to buy in to his philosophy and approach. I think the players believe in this coach. It showed during their stretch run to the playoffs and it's showing now with their level of participation in voluntary activity.

A bunch of OTA notes from Pelissero:

http://www.1500espn.com/sportswire/Note ... easy052913

This is good news:
Simpson feeling healthy

Starting split end Jerome Simpson said the numbness he felt in his lower leg from a back injury last season is gone and should be no problem leading into 2013.

After a disappointing inaugural season with the Vikings, in which he tallied 26 receptions and zero touchdowns, Simpson looked and sounded healthy during Wednesday's practice.

"I just took some time off this offseason to heal and did what the doctors told me," Simpson said. "I feel 10 times better than I did last season. Just got my legs back."

Simpson backed up his talk with an acrobatic, leaping catch on the sidelines to grab a high pass during team drills.

It was not sprained and this has already been posted. Make sure you know what you are talking about before posting.
