It is an interesting point. But...the sample size is incredibly small (1 game). FWIW I think that IS significant, but I can also conclude that every game I attended in person (Bears @ Vikings) this year resulted in a Viking win so to give us the best chance at home, I need to be there. Anyone for sending me their season tickets? (It's for the good of the team!)

I was at the game, too--Row 4 over by CheeseFree and Diggz! Actually, I attended 4 games last year--all wins. And I had season tickets for the '09 season and--we obviously won them all. And my overall record is 16-5. I think that's pretty solid. I'm the good luck charm! Well, along with Favre probably. lol. Ooooh, PLUS...I attended the last two draft parties and look at how those turned out. Juuuust sayin'.

Exactly. It was posted by one of Yahoo's sports bloggers but in a post about the Vikes stadium, it's just a completely unnecessary shot. As I said, hopefully Ponder will get the last laugh. That would be good for all of us!

Those were definitely good ones! I really liked the SF game, he did a lot to help us in that one, including that sick TD scramble.

Oh trust me: If it was in Minnesota, I would have been there. I wish it would have happened that way, but no such luck. Check out my quote about the football God hating Vikings fans. It's a true story. As much as it sucked, I suppose it just wasn't meant to be. It still cuts pretty deeply, though--and I think it always will! Having season tickets that year (and moving up to Minnesota just for that purpose) made it extremely personal for me. Blah. Let's not talk about it!

We'll get there someday! Hopefully Ponder and the boys figure it out for us!

That game makes me sick. And I have a pretty good friend (good, reliable source) who is friends with someone who is related to an NFL official. He told him that Goodell told the officials to "go a little harder on the Vikings" for that game because he was still upset about the Williams' brothers case. Not sure how much truth there is to it, but the person that told me is very reliable. They wouldn't be passing on this info if they didn't truly believe it themselves--and believe their source. Either way, we have no one to blame but ourselves--oh, and the football God who hates us, and those darn crooked, half-blind officials.

I was so mad in that game i had to turn it off.. they were hitting Farve late and twisting him like
a pretzel on every tackle... The refs just let it go on .. I have no doubt we got screwed on calls in that

Yeah, I was sick to my stomach after that game. It's no coincidence that the rule changes/pereiras retirement came after that game. Complete BS. Then again, they probably don't go into OT if farve isn't a bonehead, hence giving the refs more chances for bogus PI calls

Peterson fumbling, Percy Fumbling, Favre making boneheaded mistakes, and dont even get me started on Childress with the "12 men in the huddle." If we were playing like we were suppose to then the game wouldn't have been decided by the refs. We had a chance to be up by atleast 2 TDs. We also had a chance to CLOSE the game in the 4th. But its hard to win when your turnover the ball all those times. Even though the refs were pretty awful, i feel like we still had a chance to win despite all of this blown calls.

Yeah. I suppose what made that game so hard is the fact that we were still in it...and we very well could have won it...we should have won it, despite all of the things you just mentioned. That's what really makes it hurt. If it was out of reach or something, I'd be over it. The close ones always sting a lot more for me. A LOT.

Of all the Super Bowl, playoff and championship losses I've watched the Vikes suffer over the years, that one stings the least. I couldn't stand Childress, never wanted Favre and didn't believe that season that those two could ever lead the Vikes to a Super Bowl, much less a Super Bowl win. I'm really glad they're both gone. The Vikes are a lot more fun to cheer for now.
