Like me!!! :)

No, I am just kidding. I will idolize Moss until the day I die. However, I realize his time has come and gone in Minnesota. I thankful for the all the great plays he made (even though he a little trouble with the meter maid)!

Skol Randy. Skol Vikes.

I sometimes wonder why you don't go root for another team as well. I mean no offense but seriously, you spend way more time spitting venom at the Vikes than expressing any enthusiasm for the team. It often seems like you don't really enjoy being a Vikings fan at all. As a lifelong Vikes fan, I understand that they can be a frustrating team to support but getting all worked up because they're not interested in signing an over-the-hill player like Randy Moss, especially after his childish behavior got him shipped out of town twice, just seems a little silly.
So feeling passionate about a team AND criticizing them makes me less of a fan? I dont like the direction they are going. Otheres in this thread exaggerate to make a point too. Nor did I say Moss was the same age as Jennings.

Again, he would be better then anything our team has as a WR, with the possible exception of Jennings. And I bet Moss can run stride for stride with Wright.

Im tired of the old vet bashing, the over the hill talk, the 'hes a cancer' bs. I point it out. I doubt think i have to stand behind every decision the front office makes because it makes me a better fan. And I do have positive thing to say about many some of the draft choices lately. But then Childress did a good job of that too.

As far as spitting venom at this team, if it wasnt for AD, I think more would see what shape this team is in, and how players and coaches (like Tice) have been treated since the Wilfs came in. You want to think Winfield wanted more money and wanted to leave the vikes cause thats the spin you have read. I have read quotes directly from Winfield saying he wanted to retire a vike and was willing to listen as to how to do that. To each his own.

So yeah. I don't think he's that much better. Much less any other 20 year older geriatric you named. I know fans like to live in fantasy worlds where their favorite players are good forever, but they aren't, they get old, and they break down. And they end up slow, soft, and desperate. Just looking for a pay check. Like Randy.
Yeah those dam old players have made enough money accoring to you and other libs, better off spreading that moeny. I mean, how dare they want another check. Oh, the humanity!

My point wasnt how good Moss is now. Its how bad our passing game is, that an old has been would actually be an improvement. Like your buddy from the Bears.

come on, you have to admit though that those stats alone are pretty telling just how big of an impact Moss would have with this team. Look at his last season he played with us, with Brett Favre at QB. Hardly an impact.

This isn't "old vet bashing". It's called being realistic. Look at what Moss has done in his past few years, and understand that, that won't magically change on our team. The "he's better than anything we have" argument is highly debatable, and even if he were, it would be by a marginal amount. What purpose would we have bringing him in to take snaps away from our younger growing players.

No, that's not what I said at all. I said it seems like you don't enjoy being a fan. That doesn't make you less of a fan, just a fan that doesn't seem to have much fun being a fan... and I say "seem' because I'm just saying that's how it comes across on this board. for all I know, you have a great time being a Vikes fan.
Im tired of the old vet bashing, the over the hill talk, the 'hes a cancer' bs. I point it out.
That's fine but it doesn't change the fact that Moss IS over-the-hill, a shadow of the player he was, and his production over the last 3-4 years clearly shows it.

No, that's not what I want to think nor is it what I actually think. I don't believe he wanted to leave the Vikes at all. He was cut to make cap room. It's as simple as that.

Yeah, bring politics into it again. Not like there's a rule against that or anything.

And like I just posted, no, that piece of worthless garbage wouldn't be an improvement. Because he's done. He can't play anymore. And he's mentally checked out. And if he did come back he'd do exactly what he did last time. Whine like the little #### he is. And quit on the team. Because like Rodney Harrison said, he's the biggest front runner the sport has ever seen.

You are the one that brought politics into posts, not me. If its against the rules, why did you do it? Do you only post to start stuff?

I think Demi was referring to the 'lib' comment as political. If you say "you and others" it's not political. If you say "you and other libs" there is a political connotation with the reference.

In the broadest sense, don't we all post to "start stuff"

As far as Moss goes, I'm one of his biggest fans. I have also been a Moss apologist at times. I would like to have seen him retire a Viking because I have many fond memories of him with the Vikings. Having said all of that, "No-don't sign him." It would be very similar to signing Tarkenton at QB again. He was great. Let it go...
I've told people a million times not to exaggerate!
