I'm still cautiously optimistic. Peterson is a company man. Even if they were God-awful, I'm sure he would've said something like, "They're different, for sure. But the new look is dangerous and unique. Fans are going to love it."

LOL! No argument here. That quote could be be pure PR about hideous uniforms, although I also remain cautiously optimistic.

the funny thing about these uniform threads is that it won't matter what the uniforms look like. half the people will love them...the other half will hate them. we need to remember that we all don't like the same things. what i think looks "cool" some of you might think looks "terrible".

it's the same reason i have to hold in a chuckle when a man introduces me to his "beautiful" wife who happens to be 225 pounds with a nose like howard stern...

the bottom line for me is these are going to be VIKING uniforms with VIKING players and i'll like them regardless. guess i'm blessed with being oblivious. i couldn't tell you what our uniforms looked like 5 years ago, 3 years ago, or even last year. hell...i couldn't tell you what my wife wore yesterday!

I do agree with you, though. I think the jerseys will end up looking fine. If not--people will get used to them eventually. It matters less about what the jerseys look like, and more about how the players look on the football field. I highly doubt people will complain about the jerseys if the Vikes are out there winning football games. With that being said, I bet they'll look good--and we'll all look good in them!

Seriously, the Vikings are evil for teasing us like this. Just shows us the uniforms already!

I like the gloves. The Seahawks gloves also combine to form their team emblem. Now we can see one of the reasons the Vikes modified the norseman. His old braids were too long to fit those gloves without making the whole emblem significantly smaller.

From what I can see, it looks like the Vikings are going back to the old school color from the 70s.

The stripe doesn't make sense .. The fabric doesn't match the fabric used on the sleeves. That mesh they show the stripe on is what is found in the abdominal and low back section of the jersey. The material on the sleeves is solid just like it is around the collar. Look at the previous jersey and the previous hint of the shoulder area. Am I going insane?
