we should sign moss
think about it, he is a big receiver that can stretch the field (even at his age) and he could go out in purple, where he belongs. on top of this, he would be dirt cheap to bring in because no one wants him.
Re: we should sign moss
Sign him for one day. Have him retire a viking. I would love that. Not sure about bringing him back. He'd have a hard time with our qb situation.

This board has beaten this topic or 20 other similar ones to death. Try to forget it . NO one wants him.
DID YOU NOT SEE HIM THE LAST TIME HE WAS SIGNED AND WAS SUPPOSEDLY TRYING TO PLAY HERE
I would rather see Cris Carter or Anthony Carter come back

Re: we should sign moss
As much as I loved Moss I would take Simpson over Moss right now. Simpson has a chance to give you a productable few years and has a way better upside imo. Moss gives you one, maybe 2, subpar years at best. Besides after the last fiasco with him I hope the Vikings stay as far away from him as humanly possible.Jeffbleedspurple wrote:oohh yes! The never ending story,Though Moss would more than likely be an improvement over Simpson. I also don't see this happening and I doubt the Vikings franchise would even entertain the thought. I also would like him to retire where he started.
I think it's more beneficial for the team for them to work on getting Winfield back.

Re: we should sign moss
It's kind of insane to watch a bunch of 49ers tape and see him open but Smith/Kaepernick not throwing his way. He was still an effective run blocker for the 49ers and had some nice splash plays last year. More than we can say about any of our post-Harvin WRs we had..
Pull yr 84 jerseys out.

Re: we should sign moss
I, for one, would love Moss back--but ONLY if he's matured some. Okay, if he matured a lot. I love Moss, but his atttitude sucked the last time around--and there are NO excuses for that. He should be more respectful, grateful, and quite frankly more grown up than that! I was super bummed when we cut him, but after hearing the stuff he did and said--I was happy. No man is bigger than the team--nope, not even Moss, and definitely not little ol' Harvin.
Moss hasn't done SQUAT since '09. Maybe that humbled him; maybe that finally made him grow up a bit. I have no clue. He was on a winning team last year, so it's hard to tell. But people came out and criticized his Super Bowl effort, too. It's ridiculous. I'm not sure how much I believe that, but the point is: Moss needs to lay it all out there, and shut down the critics. To get your effort questioned in the Super Bowl is outrageous. The guy just can't win. lol.
But, I wouldn't mind having Moss back. Only if he grew up, though--and he's serious about winning and helping this team unselfishly. Is that possible? I'd hope so. As I said, he hasn't done diddly in YEARS! The only thing he has to pout about is himself. His toxic attitude and laziness that ruined what could have been the best career by a WR ever. But, more immediate than that, he should pout that he's failed to get 1,000 receptions. Not doing ANYTHING for the past few years has prevented him from that.
He's at 982 now. I would LOVE to have the scrub back as a cheap red zone threat. You know deep down Minnesota loves him, and he'll always love Minnesota. If he can't get excited to play for the Vikings fans--and with little ol' AP, he should just retire. But if he has ANYTHING left--anything at all--he should beg for a spot to play for us, and get those 18 receptions.
Moss and the Dome should reunite for one last season. Let them go out with a bang!

Of course we should!!!
I think we should sign Randy to a ceremonial contract to retire as a Viking, but an actual contract? Probably not.

I like this idea. Sometimes though, I wonder if Moss wants to be remembered as a Viking. Alot of idiots here, exp. in the media, gave him a hard time over what was really nothing. He is always going to be one of my all time favorite NFL players and personalities.HardcoreVikesFan wrote:Of course we should!!!![]()

I'd sign him for the right price.
The Devil whispered in the Viking's ear, "There's a storm coming." The Viking replied, "I am the storm." #SKOL2018

And you'll have just as many rings as he ever will.PurpleKoolaid wrote: I like this idea. Sometimes though, I wonder if Moss wants to be remembered as a Viking. Locker room cancer. A grade A little brat. Deserved every ring he's never going to have. Quit on the team repeatedly. "Play when I want to play" is right. doesn't care about anything but himself. Go to locker room before game is even over? Aw just randy being randy. Stays behind and uses press conference to heap praise on opponent? Aw just randy being randy. If I worked with a #### like him I'd punch him in his worthless face!
Good riddance and keep that garbage as far away from this team as possible.
