BTW, I trust my gut. For example, it's telling me that I ate too much garlic for dinner...and it's right.
It stinks... Not the Garlic, I mean the Winfield situation...Well, OK, the Garlic can stink too, but mostly the Winfield situation... :P

Fair shout, either or, both oblivious 'gansgter types' of the league.

DRC doesn't guarantee anything for a team and Winfield isn't taking all the snaps on defense regardless of where he goes. If anyone needs a CB, it's the Broncos.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking about the Broncos. They're a team that said after their disappointing showing in the playoffs that they need more defensive secondary depth.

We need to keep in mind that even at his age, Winfield didn't allow a TD last season. The guy can still play. Personally, I think Winfield adds quality to any team's D secondary.

Potentially good news for us?

Hall Returns to Washington
DeAngelo Hall won’t be changing teams after all.

Hall has agreed to a one-year deal to return to the Redskins, Grant Paulsen of 106.7 The Fan in Washington D.C. reported Monday night.

Definitely good news! Winfield needs to get his butt back from vacation and finally announce what we've all been waiting for--that he'll be back in purple.

I hope he comes back. Without him cornerback goes on our list of top needs.

I agree that this is potentially good news for the Vikings, but with them only 5 million under the cap, there is going to have to be some cap space created, possibly restructuring kevin williams or jared allen's contract, for us to bring Winfield back and sign our rookie class

Antoine Winfield - DB - Free Agent

The Washington Post reports the Redskins "remain interested" in free agent CB Antoine Winfield despite re-signing DeAngelo Hall.

"There is high mutual interest," a source said. "Re-signing Hall didn’t change that." According to the source, Hall's return may actually make Winfield more likely to sign with the 'Skins. "At this point in his career, (Winfield) wants to win, and (Washington) has made moves to further solidify the roster, and re-signing Hall only helps." What's unclear is if the Redskins have the money to sign Winfield. They reportedly had just over $1 million in cap space before signing Hall. Winfield hasn't made any other visits since visiting Washington last Wednesday.

Oh Bob SAGET!

Sigh. We get the pleasure of playing the Redskins again this year as well. Double sigh.

We might as well forget about Winfield now. We have less than 5 million left in cap space and we need that money to sign the draft picks.

If the Skins can somehow manage to afford him--we can too!

Not unless we were restructure more contracts. You need to have atleast around 5 mill saved to sign draft picks. I dont think the Vikings are trying to take a cap hit. I think Kevin Williams should take a paycut because he is somewhat non existent since Pat Williams left. Some would argue that Jared Allen should take one two after slow season but I don't think he deserves a pay cut just yet.
