We need to check and see if Favre would be interested in being our QB coach... You could just imagine him on the sidelines... "Hey Christian, forget that vanilla sh*! just go out there and fling it in to Gregger 3 steps after he makes his cut. TD! Baby C'mon.." Ol musGravey has no clue!

I have also heard he drops a lot of balls, as well as does not commit to plays all the time.
My take is that many of this year's WR draftees drop balls, especially those that aren't R1 worthy. I don't see a Randy Moss in the group. That said, I see guys who can contribute and I believe Hunter is one of them.

Does Hunter commit to plays? There were times when Patterson and Hunter were the only weapons keeping Tennessee alive in games. When you catch 73 passes for 1083 yards and 9 TDs in 12 games for a losing team, you're probably fairly committed.

Look at it this way, guys. I'm not saying Hunter belongs in R1. I figure he'll be taken in R2 or early in R3. If the Vikings look for something other than a WR in R1, I don't see it as a reach for them to take Hunter later.

That makes sense to me! Thanks for the input. Much appreciated.

Look at last year to of the top WR taken AJ Jenkins and Brain Quick were extremely raw as well and basically redshirted their rookie years.
Yep, thats true about Patterson, but I still think he is gone before the Vikes pick. If he is there, hes worth picking first, even if he is raw. He looks like the real deal. Could be one of the great ones.

I like Hunter alot, but part of that is because I think he will be there in the second, and we can wheel and deal for his pick. People will focus on his 'drops' or lack of commitment, and not at his numbers.

I'm hoping we can address the WR and MLB position in the first round. How do you guys feel about Manti Te'o potentially being a Viking??

I say we go take the WR in the 2nd round I believe that WR's are some what deep and I think we could find great Value for a MLB, DT or CB in round 1 with out two picks. Im guessing its the best player that falls to us is what will determine who we draft.

I absolutely agree. Patterson's upside makes him worth a R1 pick by any of the teams looking for a WR. Too bad it will probably happen before the Vikings get a chance to pick, because I think they'd take Patterson in a heartbeat.

You already know that I agree with you about Hunter. He'll need work too, but he's another big upside guy. Both of these WRs can make big plays. The Vikings need WRs that can make things happen on the field.

There are other WRs in the draft that I like. I was pleased to read that the Vikings have some interest in Robert Woods, who is a darn good receiver. But I'd still prefer to see Patterson and maybe even Hunter wearing purple over Woods.

Past time to focus on the draft!

Correct. I think a few are forgetting that we also have too sign up what hopes to be a very good draft. Seriously, has anyone had any problems with the money with whom the Vikes has signed or re-upped?

Getting a WR in the 2nd, and we have just another second or third WR. We already have that, if not 1-2 possibilities of better. Get Keenan and a LB with our first two picks, and they have already done well.

Arthur Brown just might be a surprise to many Viking fans on Draft Day, and if that happened along with Keenan Allen in the first round, I think they will have nailed it.

MLB, WR, CB . In what order depends on the BPA when we pick. All 3 are needs and all 3 can be addressed in round 1 and 2. BPA BPA BPA so at least we will fill one spot effectively, maybe 2 maybe all three needs met

I think the Vikings will either go DT and WR or MLB and WR in the first. Either way they will pick a WR in the first round. I think MLB is the biggest need because we have no one at MLB. Audie Cole would be the starting MLB if the season started today. He is not experienced enough to be a starting linebacker.
