Um...41 receptions isn't impressive. He was out-performed by an undrafted rookie.

Simpson played 11 games, the majority of those hurt. Aromashodu wasn't even a starter.

Is DHB better than who we have on our roster? Probably. I wouldn't mind him for Simpson cash but we need to aim higher. DHB can't be counted on to contribute much, especially in a WCO.

sign him for depth and let him earn a spot in camp. but only for cheap towards the end of free agency...if he's there.

Just compared their stats he actually put up better numbers than streater did.

Pretty even by my eyes. Streater was certainly the better receiver in the latter half of the season.

The reason he was cut was because he was owed 10 mil this year not because he was underperforming.

If he was worth keeping they would've restructured or franchised him. They deemed him expendable, which tells you all you need to know about how they valued him.

These are not impressive numbers by any means but considering he was playing with a horrible line and and old washed up carson palmer.

Palmer still threw for 4,000+ yards.

You sound like you play madden. Understand that with outside threats we can spread the field better. Makes the defense easier to read as they have to line up 2 safety's majority of the time to respect the deep threat. If you only had a clue then you'd realize that Madden jab couldn't be any more off base. The comparison to Jerome is completely irrelevant. His numbers on Oakland does not mean they would have translated to Minnesota. Palmer threw the ball 565 times and Ponder only 483 and that's with Ponder having a one game edge.

The Raiders already did this song and dance theory you project, but instead of Jerompe Simpson, it was Denarius Moore. It would make 0 sense to add someone who has been in the league a few years and is still so unpolished. Especially without anyone else on the roster at the receiver spot.

You're only taking the facts at face value that help your argument without knowing what they mean. While having a better line and running game is true...A team in Minnesota's position can ill-afford to waste a spot on someone like DHB. Not right now, at least. Maybe if they get Jennings and the price is right.

Bears LB Nick Roach signed with Oakland. Safe assumption Bears go MLB in round 1 and possibly pony up a bit to retain Urlacher (or sign Dansby). Out of options.

Some in NFL thought #Vikings would be in on Sean Smith. He got 3 yrs/$16.5M for #Chiefs, $7.465M fully gt'd, per source. Seems like bargain.

Emmanuel Sanders - WR - Steelers

Restricted free agent Emmanuel Sanders is visiting the Patriots on Friday.

Power move. Even low-level restricted free agents rarely escape their tendering team, but the Steelers find themselves in a mess of a cap situation. Sanders is tendered at the original-round level, which means the Patriots would only have to surrender a third-round pick if they signed him to an offer sheet Pittsburgh couldn't match. The Patriots — as you may have heard — have a ton of 2013 cap room left, and could offer a front-loaded deal Pittsburgh didn't have a legitimate chance of matching. Just 26 years old (on Sunday) with 94 catches in three seasons, Sanders would be worth a third-round gamble. He can play all three receiver spots, and has 4.4 wheels.

Sanders is as good or better as any WR you'd get in 3rd round. I'd take a shot, but I don't see Spielman giving up draft picks for anyone.

We could put in his contract that if he plays 4 games in the city of Pittsburgh in one season his contract is fully guaranteed!

There's no need for that ... the Steelers don't have the cap room to match any real offers anyway.
