Probably not. Even Harvin got sick of Ponder blowing one yard screen passes three separate times in two games. Takes a rare talent to struggle to consistently throw the ball out to the flats...

Probably not. But I think having both Ponder and Harvin healthy with Adrian Peterson might have led to a playoff win in Lambeau.
Exactly. That's all I was suggesting.

My initial question came from the fact that I really wanted the Vikings to keep Harvin and trying to come up with a way to keep him a Viking in the future. Figured the number would be close to $10 a year and Winfield's salary would get most of that. Have always liked Winfield as a player but he is getting to the end of the line.

Very disappointed that Percy is gone and with all the word coming from Eden Prairie that they are not interested in spending for big time free agents.

Will see what they do but would have made the Percy loss hurt less if they would have got Bouldin for a sixth round pick, then signed one of the top free agent receivers. Having a hard time looking forward to August with Ponder throwing to (who? fill in a draft choice and most teams #3 or #4 receiver).

If it ends up taking $13 or $14 for Harvin to sign and the Vikings do get a good free agent receiver, maybe by September the sting will be gone but for now, ouch.
