Re: Vikes vs. Packers playoff predictions
I think the pertinent question is; how many TD's will we need to get the win. Three, or four?

I hope it inspires him to best his single game rushing record-- by about 50...acousticrock wrote:Someone should show AD this picture: https://twitter.com/KeithLeventhal/stat ... 76/photo/1
Get him even more fired up for the game.
How can the Packers be proud that he was 9 yards short after running for 409 yards on them in two games?
I'm from Wisconsin and I don't understand the fanbase.
That's why I've been saying GO VIKES for 28 years.
Hey GB-- this is what 348 looks like....

5 Keys to the game:
1.) Stick with the run.
The Vikings can't afford to panic if they fall behind. They need their running game if they're going to win this game and they need to remember that for them, explosive plays are more likely to come from Peterson than from the passing game. Hopefully, they'll never trail in this game but if GB gets a two score lead at some point, the Vikings can't become pass happy.
2.) Stop the run.
That might sound weird since GB's passing game is a bigger threat but keeping the packers one-diminesional on offense will help the Vikes compete in this game and keep pressure on Rodgers. They can't let GB start managing the clockGB's a better team when they're running the ball well.
3.) Pressure Rodgers.
They need to keep pressure on him but they can't get blitz happy. He'll burn that. The front 4 need to have a big game.
4. ) Win TOP.
The Vikes absolutely cannot allow GB to put together long, sustained scoring drives like the monster they put together late in the game at Lambeau earlier this season. They need to keep Rodgers and co. off the field as much as possible.
5.) Win the turnover battle.
It's obvious but it's significant. The Vikes are undefeated when they win the turnover battle. If they do it again tonight, I'm betting that streak continues.

I hope he falls short of the single game record by 9 yards and the Vikings win by 3 points again! It's a mathematical paradox -9=+3cstelter wrote: I hope it inspires him to best his single game rushing record-- by about 50...

I can confirm AD has seen the photo. I made sure of it. He was apparently a little dejected but my friend said he also looked angry. An angry AD is good for us. If you're GB, you don't want to see AD when he's angry. Hopefully it provides a little extra something.

Seems the Vikes are having a tough time losing lately. I think this troubling streak continues.

Re: Vikes vs. Packers playoff predictions
That's almost as bad as BJ Raji waving his finger on the three carries that they stopped AD last week. Not very smart by the PAckers and their fans, IMO.dead_poet wrote:I can confirm AD has seen the photo. I made sure of it. He was apparently a little dejected but my friend said he also looked angry. The answer to that should be a caption of last week's scoreboard: This is the score of a W, Packers.Purple Jesus wrote: I sure hope Peterson seen that somehow. Maybe he will have 25 carries tonight and average 9 yards per.

It's official. Ponder is inactive.

WOW, We are screwed. I know Ponder wasn't going to turn into Brady but at least he has been playing. Web gives us very little chance to beat these guys.

Re: Vikes vs. Packers playoff predictions
No, I don't think we're screwed. Webb brings an unknown element to the game that GB is unfamiliar with and Webb has the potential to break free and get big runs or even a TD. Defense does their job well and we're gold.

Re: Vikes vs. Packers playoff predictions
I agree. Call me crazy, but I think that may have increased our chances (slightly) tonight. I don't think Webb will carry us "though the playoffs" but I do think he can carry us through this evening. Adrian is our team offense anyway...Orion wrote:No, I don't think we're screwed.
