What the hell is going on. Is this just kind of a pre-game joke thing, or not.

Im sure he was just joking, with all the confusion about the ponder-webb situation, im guessing he was just trying to stress us fans out.

I just figured since Ponder may not play, they wouldn't be joking around kicking FG's.

No, he wasn't.

Webb and MBT are kicking field goals.

I meant he was kidding about Walsh being hurt.

Ponder walked onto the field at about 5 p.m. ET, accompanied by offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave and athletic trainer Eric Sugarman. He threw perhaps 10-15 light warm-up throws to test his sore right elbow. None of the passes went further than 15 yards. After his final throw, Ponder had a lengthy discussion with Sugarman and Musgrave before leaving the field with Sugarman. Musgrave then spoke with general manager Rick Spielman.

Backup Joe Webb and No. 3 quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson continued their warmups after Ponder's departure. This was the first hard evidence that Ponder's ability to play in this game is in doubt. Stay tuned.

Jim Souhan:

Interesting how Frazier handled qb situation.Didn't lie.Didn't provide info. Listed Ponder on injury report. Played it out long as possible

A successful coach needs a patient wife, loyal dog, and great quarterback - and not necessarily in that order.
