Agreed. He may or may not not be our future, but he has been successful with our coaches game plan the last 4 weeks.

The best thing about Ponder's game today was that it was an actual good game, as opposed to what I call a 'Christian Ponder' good game (i.e. his last 3 games that people were trumpeting about but that in reality were terrible games by any average quarterback's standards).

So yeah, I was encouraged. Ponder was clutch. Period. Damn clutch. He missed some throws that most quarterbacks probably make, but he also made throws this time. More than just a few, too.

Still not going to run around and shout about how he's clearly the answer, but this game makes me wonder if maybe he is. We'll see.

And he even threw a nice deep ball! !!!! !!!!!

Although Jenkins(!) bailed him out on the last TD.
I don't think Jenkins bailed him out. Ponder made a throw into a tight window and was successful. A lot of QB's would have attempted to make that throw in that situation and counted on their WR to make the play. In the past Ponder either doesn't throw it or thows it poorly and it gets intercepted. The throw shows he is capable of making those throws. I just want to see him do it on a more consistant basis.

He did throw a nice deep ball he also threw a few poor throws today. A better thow to Wright earlier would have gotten us a touchdown instead of a field goal. He still struggles with going to his 2nd and 3rd reads. Consistancy in those to facets of his game are his biggest issues. I think he has shown over the last several weeks that he can do it! I just want him to do it more consistantly. Congrats today on doing it more consistantly!

Let's hope he continues to improve! I really would like him to succeed for a number of reasons.

He earned the 2013 starting QB position today, like it or not. The team is high on him, rightfully so. Bottom line is he led the team to its first playoff appearance since 2009. It's hard to argue he's not the answer for next year as one of only 3 QBs from his class to hit playoffs this year. The 3 taken ahead of him did not do it (Newton, Locker, Gabbert).

Just win, baby! Ponder did that today. Plus, he threw a legit long pass.

Again, I'm not a fan of the guy, but it is nice that he has played his best ball when it counted the most (this week and last week).

I think the job should be his to lose next year, but I hope we bring in a quality guy just in case he doesn't progress. It was an impressive win today, but man I'm getting really tired of seeing the 2 yard passes on 3rd n long. I didn't see too many 2 yard passes from Rodgers on 3rd n long. He did take a couple of shots down field so maybe he's finally getting more comfortable with his receivers.
