No, Ponder has 2305 yards passing this season, plus 183 on the ground

Peterson has 1446 yards rushing, plus 195 yds receiving (1641 total)

not on the season, but in the last 7 games, peterson has outgained ponder FOUR times.

Ponder's yardage plummeted when Percy Harvin went down. Percy was his go-to on almost every passing play.

what happened to Rudolph BTW?
It looked like the Bears keyed on him. I'll have to look again during the week but that was my impression. They were talking about him a lot on Chicago radio this week so it didn't surprise me. He had a good game against the Bears a few weeks ago and I think they were determined not to let him repeat that performance.

Since week 7, Ponder has 962 passing yards to Peterson's 1,101 yards rushing. Ponder is averaging a pathetic 137 yards per game over that span.

It was very boring. The only reason to watch it is to see AD.

If you go by average, then yes he does. Here are their season averages including this game.

Peterson Rushing
6.04 (265-1600)

Ponder Passing
5.98 (401-2396)

I don't remember the last time a starting RB had a higher rushing average than his QB had passing average.

My dad and I thought Rick Fenney was a great back. It was like watching Bill Brown play again.

Thanks for the memory.

The thing that worries me most is the way he lowers his head and basically uses it as a battering ram. They checked his neck out today and have done so in the past and I think it's because of this style of run. But then again who am I to question greatness.

it's tough because peterson continues to defy logic and prove everyone wrong, but i worry about the long-term affects of him BEING the offense. aside from his personal long-term health after he retires, we will obviously need him for his remaining years in football. this isn't a video game where you can keep feeding it to one guy and he's ready for the next game. i'm just not sure he can continue to stay healthy this way. i'd like to see them work in toby a little more.

AD had a career high in carries today but they haven't been feeding him the ball excessively this season. He's averaging just under 20 carries per game.

I'd like to see them run Toby a bit more if only to not key the entire defense; "Hey, Gerhart is on the field, pass play!"

Part of that has to do with the Vikings playing from behind in the 4th quarter. I'd be curious to see how many carries he has received in the last period over the season.
