If they fined him for that hit, that's just ridiculous. However, after reading your post I wondered how the league could even justify a fine for that play so I looked for stories about the fine and saw this:

The league wouldn't say for which play Griffen was fined, though, and tape suggests it might not have been the hit that drew a 15-yard penalty from referee Ed Hochuli.

That call came in the second quarter and wiped out what would have been a pivotal interception for Vikings end Jared Allen. Coach Leslie Frazier said officials told him Griffen had hit Rodgers in the neck area, which replays showed wasn't the case.

Griffen also appeared to hit Rodgers late and to the head area on a play in the first quarter. No flag was thrown.
Maybe he was actually fined for the hit in the first quarter?

So now the NFL is fining players without even telling them what they're being fined for? Goodell needs to go.

At this point, I don't think he's good for the game.

Not even Troy, who I cant stand doing games. Hes a Cowboy homer who knows less about announcing football then Buck if thats possible. No, none of our receivers are going to be wide open all the time like AD was. But there is seperation for a QB to fit one in. Just cause we dont have elite WRs doesnt mean Ponder cant complete some passes to all of them. And do you really trust Spielman picking others? He knows less about it then we do. I saw Rg3 and Luck fit some passes into covered guys. Even Batch. This is not a WR problem. Its a QB and OC problem. We have AD for crying out loud. just because Troy says theres no seperation doesnt make it so.

Were you at the game and saw all these wide receivers open  Man I watched it on a 70 inch flat screen and listened to the commentators all game long talking about how the receivers were NOT getting seperation or open..
