Vikings CB Chris Cook actually has a broken arm. Out for an "extended period of time." Likely have to make a roster move. Big blow. Out 7-8 weeks. Destined for short-term IR.

I know it's early and one player doesn't make the team ... but this is going to be really deflating for the secondary.dead_poet wrote:Dang.

Absolutely. This is bad, bad, bad news. Cook's absence was immediately felt the moment he left the game against the Bucs.Cliff wrote: I know it's early and one player doesn't make the team ... but this is going to be really deflating for the secondary.

Percy Harvin - WR - Vikings
Vikings coach Leslie Frazier referred to Percy Harvin (ankle) as "day to day" Wednesday.
Per Frazier, Harvin "made a lot of progress" Tuesday. Although the sprain appears to be more than a garden-variety Grade 1 issue, we're certainly not ruling the ultra-tough Harvin out. Despite a litany of bumps and bruises, he's missed just three games in his four-year career. We'll know more after the Vikings practice Wednesday.

Would be incredible if he plays. Perhaps just take some time off from KRs?

That actually tells us a lot. I wonder if the Guion issues are a driver of the run defense issues we are having?

His inability to get off blocks is certainly a factor in those issues. Once he gets locked up, he has trouble shedding blockers to make a play.

Great point. Maybe there's also something wrong with Erin Henderson and Jasper Brinkley's toes. They should have the team doc look at them.

Kevin Seifert on TwitterBased on the way Percy Harvin just walked thru the #Vikings locker room, there is no way he is playing Sunday. Very slow, short steps.

Harvin loves to play the hero, though. Don't be surprised if he plays.
