With the game we saw tonite how is it possible to think we will be able to win against Seattle, Chicago, G.B, Houston I think 2 more wins is about the max we can expect but 7-9 is a 4 game improvement over last year which is what most expected .

Vikes are very lucky to have 5 wins right now. Beware the false "improvement" of looking at the wins.

sucks to lose, not liking ponder right now, not all the blame goes to him, wrs cant get open. very nervous about the Seahawks there defense way more agressive and there cbs are very solid, going to be a scary game offesiviey since ponder can only throw 5 #### yards.

You really think so? Good for you, but I disagree 10000000x. I see a guy who is displaying all the signs of a major failure in the making.

Hurricane Sandy bearing down here, but nonetheless, our offense outside of AD looked horrible, Ponder was being harassed all game and our defense was on the field way to long and gave up a lot of 3rd down conversions...

I think we need to give Schwartz a shot asap. He was promising at one point. I am seriously sick of Charlie Johnson.

If it keeps going this way it's likely. The Vikings unfortunately have been slow to pull guards that have underperformed. Specifically, Artis Hicks and Anthony Herrera.

While they're at it, need to activate/deactivate Wright/Burton. Something to try and get some life back in the offense.

Look dude, even if we make comparisons to past QB's that started off struggling like elway or manning there's one thing that stands out about it to me, is that among the happenings there was SOMETHING THERE. You can see fire, zip on the ball, a natural throwing fluidity, they looked like real #### quarterbacks. Sure they made mistakes, but mistakes made with some mechanics behind them are promising, ponder doesn't even look like he wants to be out there. He rolls out when he doesnt have to, he holds on to the ball too long, and most times when he gets a slight bit of pressure instead of stepping up and trying to launch one somewhere he takes off WITHOUT A SINGLE BIT OF DECEPTION THAT HE'S EVEN THINKING ABOUT THROWING. And explain to me how the hell do you miss a percy screen by two yards when he's like 3 yards away? The ball didn't even slip he just flat out threw it away.

Decent QB's can make hot reads, decent QB's can make tough throws, he does neither. You don't even have to be elite to make a hot read on a blitz.

Damn dude I would like to nominate that post of the year.

And there's the cherry on the sundae... a terrible throw for an interception.

I agree. Ponder really shows no promise is the thing that bugs me and scares me. I already know the coaching staff will stick with him until they're force to go another way.

I don't think they had any other options. Not at least like going to the bullpen and trying a Schwartz/Johnson switch. It was a pretty pitiful situation (Cook).

I agree. I know they love Burton's blocking ability and it's the only reason he's up on Sundays but we need RECEIVERS. Unfortunately it's unlikely to make a lick of difference. We need a legit outside threat and that's not going to come until the draft or free agency.

Hmmmmmm...I officially believe Ponder is not the QB of the future.

however, I will continue to defend him.

I am on the fence if he plays two more games like he has lately I want to see a change .

Maybe that says more about that draft class than it does Ponder.

I'd seriously be as worried about pass protection and receivers as quarterback. I'm also concerned that Musgrave didn't do more to help negate the Bucs' aggressiveness (screens, draws, delays). Very frustrated by that, actually.
