That was exceptional discipline on that play.

Mostly? He went 6-2 as the starter. TJoke probably doesn't even make playoffs.(granted, that was mostly Gus)
Just like if we had Sage and Ponder got hurt we might actually have a real shot at them. We cut our best QB so we didn't hurt Ponder's feelings.

Re: Buccaneers @ Vikings Gameday Discussion Thread -- Week 8
Yeah, as ineffective as he was at times, he still had some really nice 20-30 yard touch throws. But none for about a month now.soflavike wrote:Ponder showed some really good touch early in the season and was hitting some decent mid-range passes... don't know what the heck happened to him.

They're blitzing because we don't have a QB like freeman capable of making plays.dead_poet wrote: Our D-line isn't getting as much pressure as theirs is. That's part of it.
And our defense is getting tired trying to make up for all of Ponder's three and outs.

They do need to start sustaining those 9-12-play drives and give the defense a break. This is a crucial possession.Demi wrote: They're blitzing because we don't have a QB like freeman capable of making plays.

I mean... we ARE 5-2... and with a loss tonight, 5-3. It's not like it's unfathomable. 5-3 puts us in good position through half our games.soflavike wrote: Playoffs? PLAYOFFS?

A long sustained drive to give the D a rest would be nice. A quick score would be great too.

Not to mention that's probably about 2-3 games higher than anybody predicted at the start of the season. Curse the Vikings for giving us hope. We keep getting fooled. It makes the hurt that much more intense.admvp wrote: I mean... we ARE 5-2... and with a loss tonight, 5-3. It's not like it's unfathomable. 5-3 puts us in good position through half our games.
