NFL.com has the Vikings ranked 8th, behind San Francisco, Atlanta, Chicago and New York among NFC teams.

That seems more right than #5.

I agree. That seems far more realistic at this point in the season.

The Bears are damn scary with that defense and the Giants are still the Giants. The 49ers will go as far as Alex Smith takes them, and for someone who lives in the Bay Area I feel like they'll be in, or very close, to the superbowl this year. The Falcons right now are the Chargers of old, but maybe... just maybe they'll do something in the playoffs this year.

Anyways all those teams can go far in the playoffs, but the 2012 Vikings are probably gonna end up like the 2008 Vikings. Make the playoffs due to a weak division (race with the Bears) and go out in the first round if they make it that far.

Is Petersen ok, is Harvin ok, is Kalil ok, is Greenway ok, is Sullivan ok, is Williams ok, is Rudolph ok, is Ponder ok, is Walsh ok, is Kluwe just ok:?:
This team is loaded with good young players and they are much better than ok. :wallbang:

When the Vikes play the Bears it will greatly depend on which Cutler shows up as to the outcome. The key is to pressure the crap out of him.

We have all seen a dramatic improvement in this team it's really remarkable. I really think much of it is their attitude. The youth on this team have really brought a never say die and never quit attitude. We all saw it game 1, but I didn't recognize the depth of it until the SF game. I wasn't sure when we lost to the colts, but even in that game we played hard till the end. Then when we beat SF I really saw the difference. It became magnified in the game against Detroit.

Vikings still aren't great at stopping the pass, or scoring points. Doubt they could win a shootout with rodgers or cutler. Both teams could put 30 points up.

Supposedly Cutler has the 2nd highest QB rating in the 4th quarter (I think Ponder is 1st or 3rd in that stat).
