Re: Adrian Peterson
love too see him play first game but wouldnt mind them starting him game 8. vikings arent going anywhere in the nfc norse. it will be the worst day as a viking fan if he gets injured because he came back too soon. dont even want to think of that really.

Re: Adrian Peterson
If he thinks he's 100%, the coaching staff things he's 100%, and trainers think he's 100%. Fine. But let's not trot him out there again high ankle sprain style and have any other issues. x_x

Congratulations to Adrian Peterson for not only becoming the Vikings all-time leading rusher but for playing a significant role in the season opener after coming back from a very nasty injury. AD, you are truly amazing!

PURPLE JESUS Peterson and MAGENTA CHRIST Blair Walsh pretty much won the game.
CONFESS SINNERS. Who started Gerhardt instead of Peterson in their Fantasy Football league?

How fun and fulfilling was it to see him in the end zone not once, but twice, today!Mothman wrote:Congratulations to Adrian Peterson for not only becoming the Vikings all-time leading rusher but for playing a significant role in the season opener after coming back from a very nasty injury. I was pretty darn happy for the guy. He's a beast and I admire his work ethic and determination to get back, proving all the doubters wrong.

He's absolutely unbelievable. I really can't believe what we saw today. Early in the game, I cringed on almost every carry. I was so afraid he'd re-injure that knee. But he got stronger as the game went on, just like the old All Day.Mothman wrote:Congratulations to Adrian Peterson for not only becoming the Vikings all-time leading rusher but for playing a significant role in the season opener after coming back from a very nasty injury. Adrian did what he did today at MAYBE 80 percent. Just wait until he's back all the way.

Go ahead. I dare you.
Underestimate this man.

I know what you mean by cringing on those early plays. I won't relax until I hear tomorrow that he wakes up feeling strong, no swelling, etc. I really hope that is the case. He ran w/ conviction today and I hope adrenaline didn't get him to do things beyond what the knee should have been doing.
The guy's just amazing.

Re: Adrian Peterson
I was at the game and when they announced him as the starter, the crowd was LOUD!! He had an incredible game, and I can't wait until he's 100%!!
The Devil whispered in the Viking's ear, "There's a storm coming." The Viking replied, "I am the storm." #SKOL2018

http://www.1500espn.com/sportswire/Zulg ... turn090912Interestingly, Frazier admitted Sunday the decision to not play Peterson in any exhibition games was actually an indication that things were going well.
"I think we saw some things in the preseason and practice that gave us an inclination that he might be ready and that was one of the reasons we changed it mid-course about him playing in the preseason as we looked at it," Frazier said.
"We saw some of the things he was doing, we realized it wasn't necessarily necessary to let him go out and do some things in the preseason because we saw him doing things in practice that told us he was well on his way to being ready for the regular season.
"We could see he was coming at a rate where we didn't have to play him in the preseason. It was maybe a week ago or two weeks ago, we knew he was on his way."
