I agree. I think they'll make Wilf accept a location in Minneapolis, take it or leave it. Maybe Wilf will be fine with that, but I wouldnt be surprised if he is dead set on Arden Hills. January is CLOSE. The state is playing with fire, IMO, unless they actually dont care if they leave.

Pat Rousse had an article about a year ago saying the Wilfs wanted it in Arden Hils. They want the tailgating (who doesnt?) and they will make millions on parking throught the years.

I personally dont care where its built as long as it is. Soon. Counting on any public tax is going to be a really hard sale.

That rumor has been around for over a year and a half.

I think Arden Hills would be awesome. Local radio guys b!tch about it all the time because they are kind of selfish, and they "don't wanna drive far.(Souhan)", but there would be soooo many cool business opportunites in Arden Hills. It's an open landscape.

I should have been more specific because I agree with everyone's points, but my mindset was thinking more in public relations propaganda, thereby maybe pushing the political side somewhat.
A successful coach needs a patient wife, loyal dog, and great quarterback - and not necessarily in that order.

No. We could have an all-pro bowl team and it wouldn't matter. The people who don't want to pay are too stubborn to change their mind. There aren't many "on the fence'rs."

At this point i wouldnt fault Ziggy for taking the team and leaving. What a bunch of crap this is. Stadium should have been built years ago. There is no reason that the Vikings shouldnt be moving into there Stadium next season. No good reason this wasnt done already now that the lease at the Dome has expired.

If the Minnesota political people #### this up i will never ever spend another dime in Minnesota.

I am also supporting the Franchise werever they end up. Being it LA, Memphis or London. You get the Vikings "back" in 5 years and it will always be the Vikings with an asterik next to it. Like i said this whole situation is pitiful.

I signed that online petition today, even though I doubt it means much...

No vote in sight for Vikings’ stadium

After ten hours of hearings regarding the Vikings’ stadium, the state Senate went home today with some bad news for the Vikings. Governor Mark Dayton doesn’t believe there will be a special session to vote on a stadium bill. In fact, he says there likely won’t be any vote at all until next spring.

Wish I had some good news. I guess it's good that the Vikings have their attention. Maybe (stress "maybe") the takeaway here is Arden Hills still seems like the best solution, no matter how much the politicians are trying to sway the conversation (or "look for alternate solutions").

Bagley's been saying this for a few months now. I have heard it several times. He's also said the situation changes when the lease expires, that the team may not be able to stop the momentum to move driven by the unnamed other city. It's their version of a threat without a threat. But the reality is they can openly entertain offers when the lease expires, which is very soon.
