The Yankees had the best record in the AL, so they got to choose to play the series that starts Wednesday over the series that starts Thursday. That's a bunch of crap. The Twins won't even be in New York until early this morning after traveling over the night.

Gotta love how MLB gets this stuff wrong so often.

MLB? Blame the Twins for being unable to win the division without a friggin' tie breaker!

I thought that was one of the best BB games Ive ever watched. Our team isnt loaded with talent, but they are feisty and fun to watch IMO. It'll be a huge uphill battle against the NYY, who swept us 7-0 this season, but I wouldnt count us out. We are the hottest team in MLB right now.

Why would they need to travel overnight? It's not that far to NY from MN.

It's a 2 1/2 flight not including getting to the airport, checking in, checking out, getting away from the airport, checking into the hotel, .... Major League Baseball teams often travel by night for next day games. They just don't leave as late as they had to on Tuesday.

Perhaps MLB should have a rule that states if the best record team is playing a team with a tiebreaker, that team takes the second day game. There is no game scheduled for Thursday, so the Twins will get a day off, but they do go in with a disadvantage in pitching rest to be sure.

for a west coast to east coast trip, sure, but this isn't a long flight and they have a charter, they're not traveling like we do. They either went last night and got in by 1 or 2, or waited until morning to fly, it's not overnight that they'd be sleeping on the plane.

Twins @ New York

So far, the Twins are swinging at junk. Everyone wants to poke one out.

They have to let Sabathia hang himself with pitches out of the strike zone.

Of course, easier said than done.

I liked the idea I heard earlier...start Gomez and have him bunt. Sabathia wear himself out just going after them.

Well, the first game didn't go so well. Can;t say I'm surprised. They all probably got no sleep last night. Hopefully after a day off, they will play a little better.

No worries. We'll put up more of a fight the next game. CC is their only solid starting pitcher at this point...
