If anyone likes RPGs (football of course) I found a site

Run into some old friends from another group or board? Want to do a little schmoozing, talk over old times? Or just some off topic stuff, then this is the place.

CB would be a backup at this point. Could use a level 3 or higher WR and FS. We currently have a FS from this board, but he may be a backup

Could also use a HB to pair up with All Day in the backfield or take over the starting job. (All Day is mine and I would relegate him to backup if someone wanted the start) Also could use starting G and C

After watching some replays...I think the team could definately use a better #3 or #4 corner!

this game seems really weird. not saying it could not be fun, but it sounds weird. so do you actually do live action stuff (IE catch passes like in Madden)? or do you just set up what your guy is doing and you get improvement and reports and stuff?

do you have to sink money into it? or can it be free? will you suck if your guy is free?

Owner sets what team strategy is. As a player you don't really do much, just set up stats to start, adjust 3 lvl of training and two other settings you can adjust. I guess it is weird, but I've played other games like it.

It can be free, as far as I've read most human players are better than CPU simply because cpu have nothing but stats. Not sure if that's the case or if lvl 1 etc suck.

I can definately see how it might not be for everyone. ;)

It kinda sounds like how you'd set up characters in dungeons and dragons. Rolling dice and seeing what they turn out to be. I haven't played, but like do you think it can have longterm fun? seems like you could just perfect a certain model for how to do stuff and keep doing it? as a player that is...

A lot less involved than D&D, the numbers are set at creation (you can retire afterward to get new base stats) and than you get 15 points to put into the stats, or to get one level in a special ability (two sets of 4 abilities). After that you can set relaxed/normal/intense training (which raises skills slightly) and "Go for fumble" "Go for tackle" "Balanced" drop down.

And then you wait. Looks like a game every 2 days or so. You don't do much after that but come back and see how you did I guess. Owner controls game strategies, which you can suggest etc. He controls lineup. Really doesn't appear to be much involved after creation. You do get exp and lvl up as you go.

Agree with what Demi said. I am also looking for input from team members as what the game plan should be and any other ideas.

Anyone have room for a Lvl 3 WR? I'm on a CPU team.

Name is Sean Storm (sounds like a porn name). Current team: Berlin Sharks; Western Europe A; Zeta Conference.

My guy is 6'4/184. Going to develop him into a burner that can catch. Got room for me, coach?

Oh, he is! (or will be). I picture him as a speedy, slightly cocky, ball hog. He's like a nicer T.O. Whenever he's not on the field or in practice he's at the Boys & Girls Club, or volunteering as a Big Brother and generally giving back to the community. That or making sweet, sweet love to some fine womens.
