Re: Confidence in Christian Part II

Demi I don't understand. EVERY issue you listed didn't apply to Ponder this last game. LITERALLY every one in your B column. It seems like you want someone with the skill set of Aaron Rodgers on his perfect day, and will only be satisfied with that. I don't know what more you could want then no ...

Re: Christian Ponder diving headfirst?

I don't understand the vitriol reaction to this news. To think that Musgraves just said "heck, try going headfirst this year, lets give that a try" is absurd. He has just as much, and in my opinion more evidence, to support his choice then anyone has to say feet first is safer. I think part of the ...

Which would be better?

I think we an all agree that although the Vikings are markedly improved in several important areas, the playoffs are still a year or so away from being a concrete reality. So my question is this; In your opinion which would be better for the the team? A season where we show improvement go say, 8-8 ...

Re: Stadium thread

You're crossing the politics line here. Drop it.

While I agree and respect your hardline on no politics. I think is is important to remember ALL the politicians (on both sides) who worked for it and the ones that didn't. I think it is really important to notice that the ones who didn't want ...

Re: Stadium thread

Was trying to keep it political neutral.

In this case, it would seem that the republicans are trying to leverage other things in order to support this bill. Which is what all politicians do with every piece of legislation. So if you want to put pressure on your republican representatives do so ...

Its not his job. As the governor he is suppose to advocate, lobby, and use is "bully pulpit" to push for various legislation. Your dissapointment should be aimed at the Majority and minority leaders in the house and senate.

Re: Stadium thread

Yeah, the governor is doing about as much as a chief executive can do. He is publicly supporting it. Bringing it to the public's attention everyday, and lobbying personally for it. Although I do wish he could do more, I am really happy with how the governor has supported this effort.

Re: Joe Webb (Moving Forward)

I really am not opposed to keeping him as a back up or if he beats out christian ponder keeping ponder as a back up. I feel like their totally different styles are a huge advantage. Because if one goes down and the back up comes in the defense is at a huge disadvantage because their arent ready for ...

Re: Stadium thread

Okay that's a silly statement to make. All that has been stated is a fact. A legislative body that is controlled by one party, in this case, the republicans, has opposed a stadium bill that the other two parties involved agreed on. Is that to say that only republicans oppose it? No, but that's not ...

Re: Stadium thread

How is it that the Vikings are where they are with their commitment to Arden Hills while the Ramsey County board is just _now_ approving it?

Maybe its a small hint at how many hoops they have to jump through and the massive amount of politics involved in getting this done.

Having been a ...

Re: Stadium thread

Very rarely does something of this magnitude get brought to a vote without test votes to make sure it will pass. If this gets to a vote and doesn't pass it will be one of the biggest embarrassments in politics for messing up in such a basic issue as a vote. You can rest easy that if this gets a ...

Agreed. But there are better times than other and this is just awful. I am all for a stadium, I hope a deal does get worked out but I just really cant think of a worst time to be trying this. Not that there is really any choice.

Re: Stadium thread

Still think that hundreds of temporary construction jobs are a hard sell to people that lost there health insurance or permanent government job. I really don't see how in this time a stadium can get funded.
