Friday Fun Day

Post by cmoss84 »

SKOL!

At work and doing some mock drafts. Had a little shot of adrenaline after the baseball news yesterday. Sports are back on the radar.
Anywho...here's my 1st mock from PFF.com:

R1 (#12) T. McDuffie CB
R1 (#31) TRADE for K. Pickett QB (gave up #44, #155, #226, 2023 R5)
R3 (#76) M. Sanders DE (Hunter-type pick)
R6 (#182) J. Peevy DT
R6 (#190) B. Andries OL (my hometown boy)
R7 (#231) TRADE for T. Thornton WR (gave up 2023 R6)

No idea how realistic this is. But it was fun. Thoughts? Who are your draft picks?
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

No idea who my picks are. But I gotta say ... I love "at work and doing some mock drafts." Retired now, but I can totally relate (meaning I may have spent a bit of time on this board while at work).

The draft has always been my favorite time of the football year, and I suppose that's why I've been active on the board lately after taking most of the year off. I know FAR less about all the players in the draft this year that I ever have, but I may have to jump into some mock draft simulators and see how it comes out.

My 7 round Vikings draft first effort of the year. With PFF grades for each pick.

12: Travon Walker Edge A
44: Jalen Pitre CB A
76 Brian Asamoah LB A
155 Zyon McCollum CB B
182 Chris Paul T A+
190 Josh Johnson WR C-
226 Grant Calcatera TE A+

They hate it any time I pick a WR.

My next effort was graded straight As.
Karlaftis
Pitre
Strong QB
Zach Tom T
McCollum
Calcatera
Josh Johnson.

I honestly only know who Karlaftis is. PFF has Karlaftis head and shoulders over Walker.

I'd take this draft you submitted. That's a great move getting Pickett. For once in who knows how long we have a guy in the hole with some talent. It's also good to see a trade up to the talent. It's better than getting a bunch of 7th round stiffs who will never sniff making the team.
