Liked what he had to say, a bit rambling at times but why not it's his first crack at this.

However my absolute pet peeve with public speakers is "um", "ah" and "ahm"'s. Drives me nuts. Kwesi put in about 1,000 or so. Hope he takes some coaching on public speaking.

Otherwise, have at it Kwesi. Very interested to see how it all turns out!

I'm glad I don't care about NFL football and its crappy product anymore.

Not sure what that even means?

I liked that he managed to explain his thinking on some key things WITHOUT being condescending.

That, by itself, is a refreshing change from the previous regime. Every time Rick or Zimmer stepped to the podium, you felt like they considered any question a stupid question.

I'd also like to add this.

Every one of us wants a Vikings team that wins the division and competes for the big prize. We want it every year.

But I'll throw in this word of caution. If you believe being a contender is a realistic standard for the new regime in 2022, you are very, very likely to be disappointed. In my opinion, nobody should be looking at the Minnesota Vikings as a contender before 2023, and maybe even 2024.

A more realistic expectation would be that the organization undergoes a massive culture change, the roster gets an overhaul, and the Vikings improve as a team as the season progresses. And THEN, after making some roster moves to free up cap space and net us some quality draft picks, maybe we can start to get excited about winning in '23.

Also, stand by for some household names on this roster to be gone before training camp. It's important get value for the older guys on big contracts at least 2 years BEFORE they decline severely. You can do the math as to who those guys are. It would not surprise me a bit to see guys like Harrison Smith, Eric Kendricks, Dalvin Cook, and even Adam Thielen dealt to contenders with need for quality veterans, in exchange for cap relief and draft picks. You keep the young studs — Jefferson, Irv Smith, O'Neill, Darrisaw, Osborn. You keep good players on team-friendly deals, like Alexander Mattison. And maybe you find a way to keep Danielle Hunter, who's still young. But prepare yourself. It would be a complete shock to me if major roster overhaul didn't happen.

And when it does, many of you on this board will rip Kwesi for it. That's just the nature of fandom. But offloading aging veterans while they still have value is what a rebuilding team does.

Highly educated guy speaking in ums and ahs? Oh well no big deal. He's likable.

You have to keep enough of the older guys to avoid losing the culture. I agree, the next two years, this team is probably not competing, but I'd ditch talent over leadership at this critical juncture if I were the GM.

He sounds like Kirk Cousins. I'm not sure they won't end up keeping old KC...this is his dream GM.

May it make you happy. If you are going to keep KC, it's important to put him in a real leadership position...after listening to that video, I think resigning Cousins to a multiyear deal looks more likely than I could have imagined.

We were long overdue for this overhaul. I don’t know if it will work but I credit the Wilfs for trying instead of doing the same thing year after year. Hopefully he’s smart enough to cut bait with Cousins after this year.

This is how I see it as well. Without a doubt there is going to be a major overhaul. If there isn't, I would be shocked and pushing for new Ownership! Next year might be a total dumpster fire. I believe they could be competitive in 23' or 24' but being a legit contender........I will hold off on getting on that train for a while yet........

I'm not sure why you think that's such a sure thing. I, in no way whatsoever, got that vibe from KAM

I didn't say it was a sure thing. It seems more likely to me that the Vikings keep KC after hearing KAM's introductory comments, and hearing the degree to which his 'core philosophy' sounds remarkably similar to our starting QB's 'core philosophy'. Kirk Cousins loves getting all the information he can, and he lives and dies by 'analysis'.
