I bought this as a reward for being good ... Antique maple color though
with have to save up for some goodies for it ...

Well my hard work has paid off and after going through some of the hardest times in my life I
purchased a Condo this morning. It not lifestyles of this rich and famous or anything but its
mine.

It was a fantastic day when I did the same.

I had an ex-girlfriend who dumped me because I had 5k on my card. When I tried to explain to her that it was two terms of college, she wouldn't hear it. It stuck with me for 6 years, and when I got it all completely paid off, it was the best feeling ever.

Haven't had a credit card since. I know my credit isn't great as a result and I'll be living in rentals, but it's nice to not have that hanging over you, the phone calls...it's the worst.

If you feel you can't be trusted with a credit card, get one with a low limit or get a secured card (where you put money aside basically in an escrow account to ensure payment). Establishing credit is essential not only for home ownership, even if you rent, certain property managers can look at your credit. Same with jobs, employers are pulling credit reports more often now. As we move more and more to a cashless society, I think the need for credit will only increase.

I have gotten pretty good with it and have not retained a balance more then I can pay within a few weeks since
