Undecided on whether to attend a game at Jerryworld

My brother in law is a huge Cowgirls fan and will be visiting us in Dallas-FW on 11/3/13, which happens to be when they play the Vikings.
I am typically not fond of live games or any event with throngs of people. I'd rather watch in the comfort of my own home w/ some quality craft beer and good food instead of $10 domestic taps from a plastic cup and $15 nachos... But I'm kind of tempted to go to this game. Then again, the thought of being surrounded by that many annoying cowboys fans is enough to make me question WTH I was thinking.
Have any of you gone to games in enemy territory? Is it worth it? (Tickets will be around 300 a piece for pretty below average seats) Or would you recommend passing?
FWIW, my brother in law won't care since he's going to the game w/ his wife and a friend. I'm sure he'd like me to go, but it won't really matter if I pass.
Your thoughts?

Yes, but think of how much fun it could be for you to watch all those despondent Cowboys fans when the Vikes crush them.

I do it almost every year. I see the Vikes play here in Chicago and I love it. The Bears fans tend to be very cool and it's outdoor football so the atmosphere is great. The worst I get from Bears fans is some good-natured teasing. Overall, I definitely consider the experience worth it and it's fun to see the players in person.
That said, $300 per ticket is pretty steep.
My uncle lives in Texas and he's been to that new "Jerryworld" stadium. He thought it was a pretty cool experience to see a game there.
I hope that helps.

That is a LOT for tickets... I wouldn't. If you can get cheaper tickets, then it may be worth it.

I lot of people I know who have attended games at the Cowboys stadium as the visiting team's fans said that they enjoyed it. All I hear is how nice the stadium and all the features that come with it. I say go. I think many fans would go to every game if they could. I say the Vikes can use all the away fans they can get.

Texas Vike, I live in Dallas and I will be there! I was at the Vikings / Cowboys game in 2007 that took place in the old Texas Stadium. There were a surprising number of Vikings fans there and I had a blast even though we ended up losing the game. Some of my family members are flying down from Minnesota for this game and I think I am looking forward to that game already.
As far as Jerryworld, I have seen a few games there. It really is an experience and I would recommend going at least once (if you haven't already) but honestly at times it doesn't even feel like watching real football. The place is so enormous and there are many distractions outside of the game. Also, they wand everyone that goes into the stadium, so make sure you head towards the gates at least an hour early or you might be getting to your seat late... Ridiculous, I know.
Single game tickets go on sale August 2, I believe.

It depends on the fans tbh. I went to a Chiefs/Vikings game when I was 7 and it was the worst game I have ever been too. Not only did we lose but the Chiefs fans were the worst. They were throwing beer all over me and when ever I was leaving the stadium they would not leave me alone. My parents both used to be HUGE chiefs fans but they will no longer go to games because of the fans.

I have been to a few niner's games at Candlestick
I have had more problems in preseason than regular games
Regular season tickets holders will be more accountable due to the fact they can
lose their season tickets.

We've been to games in TN and GA, the first was at Vanderbilt stadium in Nashville, 1998. That was awesome, even though we had just experienced a huge ice storm days before and the stands were treacherous. Of course we won that game - hello Randy Moss!
Next was in Atlanta in '99. Had a really good time, seats high up but you could still see pretty well.
The other TN game was at LP field in Nashville, nosebleed seats. Don't recommend it, you can't see what's going on without binocs. We lost, it was during a sucky season, but it was a fun time.
Fans were good/great during all 3 games, lots of purple in TN and GA, y'all would be surprised.
As far as Jerryworld goes, for $300 I'd definitely pass. Too much money for 4 hours of entertainment. Plus parking. Plus food/beverages. I'd stay home and spend that $300 (or more if it wouldn't just be you!) on a Crush The Cowpie party with friends.

Normally I would say yes, but for $300 for bad seats, I wouldn't.
Better option: Watch at home in your Vikings gear. When he comes back to your place, (after the Vikings win of course) greet him at your door with a big, obnoxious smile and a "good game".

ive been to vikings 49ers in sf for a pre season game and it was pretty bad. niner fans suck and it was freakin pre season too. i went to a giants 49ers regular season game cause my wife is a giants fan. it was terrible. the fans are out of control and no authority in the stadium seems to care. almost as bad as raiders or eagles. ive been a sf giants fan forever and have been going to candlestick/at&t since i was 5. the only time ive seen any sf giants fans get out of hand is durring dodger games, thats it. tottaly different crowd from the baseball/football teams.
i think you will be fine in dallas. if anything gets out of hand just say "romo" and start laughing.
this should help

Mr. Texas Vike,
As the only Viking nut in family full of Cowboys fans you will survive. Living in Dallas I can assure you that Dallas does not really consider Minnesota as the enemy, that stage belongs to Philly and DC. If you are nervous, snag another ticket and I'll go, bow and arrows in hand! Oh wait, that won't work, women can't even take small purses anymore. That will be a hoot to hear the griping within homes from all the ladies! Go see the game; if the parking and crowds don't bother you, the other teams fans can't be that bad.
...wisdom

Games in enemy territory are a blast! But at 300 a pop I'd pass, unless you are loaded and don't mind the cost.
I can't say you wont get messed with, I have been to some places we have had to get physical with people who were out of line, literally hitting us.
