having an early bye stinks. weeks 7-14 are brutal. other than that, not bad!

Brutal, especially the middle area.

This sums it up nicely -
"Vikings season-ticket holders are going to need time to get to know this year's team. After opening on the road against the Lions and Bears, a home date against the Browns gives way to a London voyage to face the Steelers. Minnesota's second home game doesn't happen until mid-October. Then it gets nasty. Starting in Week 7, the Vikings face Eli Manning, Aaron Rodgers, Tony Romo, Robert Griffin III, Russell Wilson and Rodgers again. If the Vikings escape intact, last year was no fluke."

Well, it is challenging. We will learn a lot about Ponder and the rest of the team fairly quickly.

Very true. This schedule is rough. If we make the playoffs we are the real deal. I'm excited for the Browns game!

Easy W!

Damn.
We get to say goodbye to the Metrodome versus Detroit. I will have to get tickets to that game for sure.

Early prediction: 8-8, although 10-6 isn't out of the question. The Pittsburgh game in London is hard to call. The Cowboys in Dallas is another possible win and Baltimore isn't going to look much like they did last year. I could also see a win in week 2 at Chicago and a 5-0 start.

Week 05 Bye
Week 06 Sun, Oct 13 Carolina Panthers W
Week 07 Mon, Oct 21 @ New York Giants L

Yea I am thinking the same. Downside is I hate planning road-trips for home games in December coming from Eastern SD. Winter weather is so unpredictable here.

Same here!

Let's just hope there isn't 2 feet of snow.

I feel you man! I grew up in Sioux Falls and my parents still live there. I am sure I will venture to the Metrodome at least once this year from South Dakota!

I am just up the interstate in Brookings myself. But this winter has been awful, more so than usual. It is usually just a straight shot on hwy 14 through Pipestone or head north to Watertown and take 212 all the way to Minnetonka.
