I saw he just got cut by the Chiefs. He was a 1,000 yard WR when he was on the Cardinals, which was not easy behind Fitz and Boldin. I feel like he got caught up on being with a terrible team like KC and just got caught because they are bringing in a new regime. He has had some injury issues but for the right price do you bring him in?

I think having Fitz made him look a lot better than he is and with his injuries, not worth it in my opinion.

Jenkins is probably gone. I read somewhere he was set to make a fairly nice bump in salary, and considering that he was originally signed to be the #2 guy behind Percy, I'd say given that he's lived up to being a #3 or a #4 receiver. It would make a lot of sense if Spielman cut him sometime in early FA. Simpson is probably still worth keeping around, but Jenkins is probably going to be paid more than he's produced if he sticks.

Best thing about Aroma and Burton is that they're still cheap benchwarmers who can hold down those last two spots and not always stink up the field. (Just most of the time when they have to play)

I like Jenkins. He is surehanded and I would rather have him than Aroma or Burton if possible.

Eh. To me that's like saying, "I like THIS pile of lima beans because a duck farted on them so they're warmer." How about we get some guys in that are sure-handed but can also separate from defenders? I know our receivers haven't been great, but we need to aim higher if we want Ponder and the pass offense to improve in 2013. But if we MUST choose between those three fat chicks to date, Jenkins is the cutest one of the bunch I suppose.

You are absolutely right, completely forgot about Warner. Makes a huge difference when you have Cassel throwing you the ball

But my point is, we probably won't be able to get rid of ALL of our WRs and get new ones. Percy and Wright will be back, I can't imagine us getting rod of the rest.

I disagree. I think with Jenkins you need to look at him for what he is, a solid #3/#4. If you look at him in that context, I think the argument can be made for a roster spot. The guy has shown to be a solid possession receiver with very good hands and also above average blocking skills. He's not a field stretcher but again, he should be pegged as a #3/#4. I don't think anyone believes he'll get that roster bonus. He'll likely be cut and re-signed if anything but I think he's shown more than the other guys on the chopping block, including Simpson who on multiple occasions struggled to catch the football in traffic.

I understand the position. And part of my dislike for Jenkins could be a result of the guy throwing the ball. But I prefer my #3, #4 receivers to be guys with higher upside as opposed to slow, deteriorating receivers barely holding on to a roster spot. I think we could fairly easily find guys to replace Jenkins in the draft. It'd be a much easier decision if we had better options on our roster. I think if you look at him in the context of the guys we have, he's not bad. But you look at him in the context of receivers in the league and I don't know if he'd garnish much interest (if any) once released.

I understand cutting all receivers not named Harvin, Wright and Childs is unrealistic due to being difficult to replace them all in one offseason. But that's still my preference in a vacuum. It's the unfortunate reality of having one of the weakest receiving corps in the league.

I like how people feel like the Greg Childs experiment is going to work. I'll be shocked if this guy walks correctly again
