one throw away from a superbowl, and now we have this bum with no end in sight. what a total disgrace. as loyal a viking fan i am, i would honestly rather see peterson play on a contender than run his life off for this mess of an offense. all in all, a total joke. like all the losers say, there is always next year.

Yeah Im so bitter, Indy goes from Manning to Luck, Green Bay went from Favre to Rogers. It simply isn't this hard, to find a competent quarterback, as this team makes it look. The sad part is, these idiots, will still be parroting this Ponder is our guy crap, while watching, one of the most beautiful running backs in historys career, go to waste.

This needed to be a new thread? We already have several "#### about Ponder" threads...

I think that's what the '98' Rams did say

You guys make a good point historically how fall we've fallen, but it also points out that we're not too far gone. Look at what happened earlier this season when we were 5-2? If a team is strong, it is a lot easier to replace the QB then a total rebuilding team. The Vikings have that core list of guys like Adrian, Percy, Greenway, Jared, Winfield, etc. Ponder was very solid in our win streak, even if not great. That's all we need, a SOLID consistent QB and gradual improvement takes over from there and we can be a top team again. I have complete faith in that and I think our winning streak this season showed what is possible for us. But I don't think Ponder is the guy to do it.
I agree with you. Plus I have a suspicion that the coaching staff doesn't believe what they are saying about Ponder. They have eyes, but if your QB obviously has a confidence problem are they going to try to correct that by saying, "Our QB stinks!"? I would suggest if Ponder can't get his confidence back after getting so much support from the coaching staff, he never will. I could be wrong, but I think Ponder finishes out the year. If he finishes 6-10 with his play 'leveled' at the performance we've seen the last few games, I'm guessing we'll have a new QB next year. Just my opinion....
