He's at 1446. That means he needs to average 139 yards to hit 2000 in the last 4 games...can he do it????

I wasn't sure during bye, but 333 yards since, he can, and I think he will. All 4 games on fast tracks (turf), 2 vs familiar opponents at home, one @Rams, he will get some @Houston. I wouldn't even be shocked, if he shredded all 4 teams.

Y'know that the worst thing. If we made the playoffs Adrian would be a legimate MVP contender, but because of Ponder we will likely miss the playoffs, and unless you break a record (like Barry) it's impossible to be MVP for a non-playoff team.
If they miss the playoffs it won't just be Ponder's fault. As a team, the Vikings have left a lot of opportunities on the field this year. However, this thread is about Peterson, who will defy the odds and break Dickerson's record over the next 4 games.
I agree that it would be a shame if AD continues playing at this MVP level and a missed opportunity to make the playoffs deprives him of that honor.

166 yds/ game to break the record, it is definantly possible, but no one is going to lay down for him...

Chicago #10 rushing defense. 103.5 yds/game
@Rams #13 rushing defense. 114.4 yds/game
@Houston #2 rushing defense. 87.6 yds/game
Packers #15 rushing defense. 115.2 yds/game
After watching AD all these years I have learned one thing, he can shred any defense regardless of their rank. Look what de did to Seattle's this year when they were a top 5 rushing defense. I think he is on a personal mission to carry this team as far as he can. He believes he should get 2000 every year and is probably trying to make a statement this year. He is a unique physical specimen and is doing something the league has never seen before in regards to coming back from a major knee injury.
I sincerely hope he gets to 2000 this year, even if that means going off on the Bears this Sunday. If he can manage one more 200 yard game he should have a realistic shot at the single season record.

He can do it if we RUN THE BALL. We have to stop relying on ponder to win us games when you've got the best dang running back in the league!

Bad coaching will prevent him from reaching the 2k mark...

True. Frazier suits up and tackles Peterson on the field often.

The thing with AD is he's a big-play machine. One or two big runs and he's nearly there. The Bears did a respectable job against him today, but he still hurt them with some big gainers.
It will be very tough to top 2000, but if anyone can, its Beast Mode.

If they keep giving him the ball there is no way he will not get it. He is on a personal mission to carry this team as far as he can. The determination he has on every run is incredible.
